Had mammogram last week on lump the size of a pea. That came back normal but other breast showed cell changes in right breast. I've now had biopsy on lump which said was normal, why if normal? And also had biopsy on breast with cell changes. They have said probably nothing to worry about but if, if, if cancer it's very early stages (dcis). Is it normal for them to talk like that and why biopsy on a lump they have said was normal ?

Hi Dee, Sorry you are here and worried. It sounds like they are being very careful, which is a good thing. The biopsy gives the most information, and they would like to know exactly what that lump is. Hang in, try not to worry too much while you wait. I'm sure others will chime in here.

I agree with reflect, it sounds like they are just being very careful, which is a GOOD thing!
A biopsy is the only way to know for sure what a lump is.

Thanks ladies. I should find out in a week or so. I'm 45. When I was about 30 I found a lump and never needed biopsy on that lump. They told me the same just normal and that I had Fibrocystic breasts, I just assumed the same thing was going to happen this time and that they would just leave them alone. I'm probably just over thinking. The talk of dcis is making me think that's what it is and now checking lump to be on safe side.
