Biopsy today and I'll be scared till results

Thursday at 11am, I'm going in for core needle biopsy and another mammogram. I'm trying hard to be positive, but I'm failing everyday. I have to fake it, but my insides are a real mess. The only facts to date are my mass is growing very fast and is estimated at 6cm by ultrasound as of 1/21/2016. Since then my lymph under arm has swollen from breast up with a grape size poop thing under left arm.

I have been told it's cancer, by radiologist who ran ultrasound, but know he shouldn't have told me that. My mass hurts it actually feels alive for lack of a better definition to describe. I've been wearing a bra since ultrasound so I can sleep. I'm afraid and looking for any hope to hang on to

    Hi Pammac. Maybe the radiologist told you is cancer, but the only way to know for sure is to take a sample of tissue from the suspicious area and examine it under a microscope. Waiting for test results is always hard, but honestly, this comment doesn't help ease your mind... Hope you get some answers soon! Crossing fingers for benign results!

    got to admit did not hurt the only part that did was incision wow thank you to staff awesome

    To anybody worried about biopsy itself- my gosh even I was scared to death. I was sure because my mass hurt it was going to be awful. It was not, completely doable and what I did feel wasn't bad. It's hard to be scared of something that looks like an ugly piece of fat. The wait will be 3-5 days, not sure if business.
