Holy cow...100 page of drinking as of today!
a hundred pages of drinkin on board
a hundred pages of drinkin
ok...never mind...not sure where I was going with that but lost the thought.
My stinking, lousy, mentally, physically, emotionally abusive ex just got elected as judge in town! How friggin unjust is that!!! I wouldn't think you should even be able to run if you have a police record of abuse!
Gonna take more than a drink to cool this girl off today! -
NewVickie, I was thinking the same thing, 100 pages of drinking wahoooooooooooooooooo
Sorry about you ex, men they can be such losers, and get away with it.
Randi -
a hundred pages of drinkin on board
a hundred pages of drinkin
take one(drink that is) down
pass it around
101 pages of drinkin on the board
Vickie, He sounds like he'll be real fair, NOT!! -
HEY LADIES...GOOD NEWS!!!
The newspaper made a mistake!!! They transposed the numbers and my ex DID NOT GET ELECTED. THERE IS A GOD!!! I am so incredibly relieved. Everyone was up in arms over this all day...no one could understand how he got elected and tonight the newspaper printed a retraction!!!!
I couldn't even imagine him being a judge...it would have truly been a nightmare for all women who would have had to appear before him...he hates women.
Going to have a celebration drink...maybe a celebration bottle!
WOOOHOOO
Vickie -
Yea Vickie! This definitelyt call for some celebration drinking!
And Lini, I was going to say about Oprah what you did but I figured I would sound snooty or jealous.....
Randi, I refuse to open her magazine! Perhaps there's some good info in there but I think More is better. When she started her book club I found that I'd read most of her selections WAY before she even selected them! Huh! Then I started steering clear of her selections as I figured I was reading books that were too mainstream.
It's scotch tonight to get over mowing my lawn/mulching my leaves. Now I only have to rake one more time, when my big maple in the front yard decided to drop its leaves. It's weird how they all take turns. Oh, I SO need a lawn boy... -
Hey i hear Shel has a realy cute Lawn Boy!!!!!!
I quit reading magzines cause they are 90% advertising any more. -
Quote:

Do tell!!! Lawn boy, pool boy, whatever - I want one!!! I am SO not dead yet!!! -
Wow!!! 100 pages???? That's a whole lotta drinkin'
-
Hello Darlings..........I'm not going to be drinking tonight since I will be going to see my DD inducted into the National Honor Society tonight. How proud am I. Wish I could take credit for the Genes but she is my step daughter...............me and hubby will drink after we get home.
Kiss Kiss laides and have a great night.
Randi -
Congrats Randi!!! I say that the smarts rubbed off on her, so go ahead and take some credit! I'll be drinking my Thursday night Martini when I get home. Ummm...I can taste it already.
-
Congrats Randi! I'm sure you had SOME influence on her being so smart!
I'm off to bed after a scotch and 1/2 a vicodin. I've had awful cramps all day and they are finally gone - thank you drugs! Huh! And I wanted my periods back.....
Well, here's to 100+ pages of drinking!
Janis L -
Thanks laides, it was a nice thing to watch. I did have a drink after we got home. Long night. I'm so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow.
have a great weekend everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!
Randi -
Randi - congrats on your smart daughter! What a proud moment for you and hubby.
Any big drinkin' parties planned this weekend?
I'm so covered up at work right now (after sitting around for a couple of months) I can barely keep up and it's even CUT INTO MY DRINKING TIME. I don't know how much longer I can tolerate it
Guess I will have to find a way to tolerate it a while longer though, because I'm buying back my "old" house from the ex. Hope to close by the end of Nov! It's a really good deal for me since I have great credit, but no cash!
It's got work to be done on it, so I'll probably be devoted to that project for a while, but I'll be sure and remember to take drinking breaks, as needed.
Cheers!
Donna -
Congratulations Randi...to you, your hubby and stepdaughter. What an honor! My daughter got many awards in school and my son has gotten two "Caring and Compassionate" awards...doesn't it just make your heart swell to watch them walk up on that stage!!!
I'm drinking all weekend...I now have HIGH SPEED INTERNET!!! WOOHOO...no more dial up!
Donna...congratulations on the house...sounds exciting.
See you all later.
Vickie -
Donna rock on baby that is wonderful news about your house. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Vickie, isn't highspeed the bomb.
OK get this ladies. remember a couple weeks ago I almost lost my dog and it cost me about 2k to get him back to "normal" well out of the blue today the vet calls and says that the manufacturer of the drugs that my dog was givin is going to reimburse me for my expenses, HOLY SHIT. Do you think they feel quilty. No mind you I never said anything to then about a law suit. She told me that the first vet that gave nootie the shots, called the manufacturer of the drug and explained the reaction, the manufacturer then called the second vet, who then explained how awful it was and how close she came to dying. so the vet called me and told me the good news, she said they are willing to pay for the test if you sign a sheet saying you will not sue. I said they pay for all and 500 for suffering and I will sign.
so hell yes me and nootie are having a drink tonight.
There is a God.
Randi -
Cool Randi - but I thought you dog was a "she?" Did I mis read something??? Perhaps I was drunk...
Vicki - you gooooooooo girl! Welcome to the fast lane! Well, I have aol broadband and I'm not sure it's the fastest but it beats the hell out of dial-up! Less time for drinking between typing though!
Me, I'm still trying to chase away these dang menstrual cramps. It would be nice if I had a job where I could sit on my ass all day but nooooooo I have to stand and walk all day. So when I get home I don't feel guilty for sitting on my ass in front of the computer with my wine! -
yay randi!
i am so f'ing fed up with my life right now that i'm well into a case of red stripe lol!
hottie neighbour is not available to cheer me up, my 13 year old is "snippy" all the time, my ex is calling to "make sure i'm ok" and otherwise just annoy me, my zoladex injection turned my whole belly black, and hurts like a bitch, my zometa infusion is to start on wedsnesday, my "cheeky disposition" is fading, my family just screams at me constantly for taking him back yet again, the fireplace in my bedroom cost me $900 in gasline repairs, my cousin (who watched my dtr while i was away in mexico) totally screwed up my surround sound, my hotub and lost my cat (captain jack)........ok i'll shut up lol!
holy shit.......this evening requires "shooters".......i am a victim of murphy's law right now!!!!! oh yeah and my onc cleared me to go back to work january 15th, but my employer is "hesitant" because of the mets.......LTD is great money, but i'm bored freaking senseless without my career......yikes another fight!
ok........i'll be trashed in a couple of hours......thanks for letting me vent......i'm overwhelmed right now!!!!!!
but i'm officially shutting up lol!
cheers girls, thanks for being here! -
Donna,
Congrats on the house! I'm house poor but if I sell it I could have some cash should I need it! Mine is a fix-her-upper but I'm happy with it. The dogs love the big yard and I like that my neighbors aren't on top of me. Nice enough neighbors but I'd rather a young man be on top of me... -
Okay, whre is everyone??? Am I the only one here home alone on a Saturday night? I obviously do NOT have a life! Actually, I could have met up with another new young man tonight but was too tired from work (oh, I am way too old for these young men!) so we're going to watch the Bears game together Sunday night instead.
-
Okay, that's cool. I don't mind being the only one drinking or posting here.....
-
oops...haven't been drinking lately...too tired by 8 that I crawl in bed and literally pass out...
Uh Shel...sounds like your cousin should have lost the 13 year old and kept the cat. AND left the surround sound alone. LOL. 13 year olds are so much fun...I had a grumpy tired 7 year old this weekend...constant "mom...I'm bored"...2000.00 dollars worth of toys (ok exaggerating but you know what I mean) and he's BORED!
Geez...Jaybird, your up late! I'll give it a try but don't count on coherant talking (or spelling). -
DH and I babysat our twin grandaughters this weekend. I was too tired to post. Then last night we both got trashed, put on CDs and danced like crazy people . I tried to watch Desperate Housewives, but I passed out on the sofa and that's all she wrote! At least the Eagles won yesterday! I like to drink Manhattans on game day, and scream at the TV! When our cat was still alive, he would run from the room whenever I watched football! Yes, I'm that bad .
-
oh girls........i've been drinking lol! but just a little.
mack and i had a "one tree hill" marathon weekend.......yikes!!!! but at least she was frigging civil to me lol!
all the bills are paid for all the screw ups.......now i need to pay the lawyer 4300 dollas and i'm back to "living".....whatever that is!!!!!
captain jack came home last night with a ripped up ear and 3 missing claws!.......holy shit, is it too early to open the bar lol? -
It's never too late to open the bar, as it's 5:00 somewhere!!
Randi - great news on getting relief on your vet bill, that's awesome!!!
I'm on PTO today, and have an appt at 10:30 w/ BF to fix a couple of teeth that went funky during chemo.
Had a fun relaxing weekend. Went to Best Buy and bought a fridge, washer & dryer. Haven't bought any of those appliances in over 20 years. The ex is taking the ones that are currently in the house with him when he moves, which is fine because they have to be on their last leg.
I am offically now in debt up to my ears!!
Oh well, I have wine and for that I am grateful.
Cheers Buds,
Donna -
Hi Girls- home from Vegas, SO FUN! It has taken me all morning to catch up on reading an I am posting here first. Shel, I am glad Capt Jack is home and it sounds like you found something to link you and Mack, at least for now and until she's 18.
Donna, I understand the debt thing, but it is worth it. You can keep your new fridge full of 2buck chuck.
Randi-great news from the vet!
Janis, sorry you were deserted over the weekend. Sometimes having a drink alone is like...mediatative.
Hope are all well. I have luggage and many shopping bags to unpack. Unfortunately, after Vegas the only thing in my wallet is a hundred dollar bill and tons of reciepts. -
Christine - How was Vegas?? I've never been although someday I'd like to. Anyway, welcome home!
Shel - Nobody deserves a drink more than you right now. I'm glad that the Captain is home, although a little beat up!
I'll do a little drinking tonight. I'm thinking a nice big glass of Cabernet (maybe two).
Oh, BTW, does anyone know anything about taking Melatonin for sleeping? Does it interact badly with alcohol...as in, will I go to bed and never wake up? I can't sleep and can't take sleeping meds, but I also don't want to kill myself! -
Shel, glad captain jack is home. yeah. Have a drink than have a few more what the heck.
Donna girl I know all about being in debt, broke the news to hubby over the weekend about how high my credit card is, um, well he took it well. I was shocked.
he said we are going to have to cut down our drinking to save money, um NO........we shall see.
sorry you were alone Janis. I was busy trying to get my house in shape for the holiday next week.
have a good night everyone.
Randi -
ok what is it going to take to get us to page 101
randi -
let me see!
99 bottles of beer on the wall......99 bottles of beer...... -
