what time are we meeting tomorrow? I'm lining up my travel plans. I am so looking forward to it. Enjoy the wedding Nancy! You will be missed
-
Jo, I was thinking about 11:30 as usual. Maureen, we'll try to restrain ourselves until you arrive
Nancy, I know it will be a beautiful wedding. We'll need tons of pictures for our next meet up! Give our best to your daughter and new son-in-law!
HUGS!!!

Good morning all my Michigan girls! How many of us are looking Eastward and grateful we aren't shoveling out from under 2+ feet of snow? It's been a beautiful winter so far - and spring is right around the corner!
Jo, are you coming out this way again soon? We really need another get-together!! Let us know your schedule, please! This winter's weather has made travel pretty easy, so I'm hoping we can get together soon!
Miss all of you!
-
Nancy, miss you guys too! I'm ready for a get together. I'm so tired of decluttering, downsizing, getting rid of all the stuff and now, a bit of packing. Being with you and a bit of wine sounds oh so much better!!!
HUGS!!!
-
I would love to get together again. I don't have plans yet, but probably will either be March or May.. Don't wait on me, but I will keep you posted. I had done a quick trip to spend New Year's with my mom. We had problems finding a caregiver so I moved a trip up. I still want to see pictures of the wedding and also get together with all before Peggy moves my way!

Hello!!! Miss you guys too...the holidays went by so fast and we're almost to February - nice to think about getting together and catching up so I'm in just let me know when:) Maureen
-
I would love to see you guys at least once (maybe twice) before I move. Memorial Day weekend I'm having a Celebration of Life for Chuck and the plan now is to move June 17th so suspect that those 3 weeks I will be a tad busy.
-
Peggy...are you leaving the area...where are you moving too? YES would love to see you before you move!
-
Maureen, I'm moving to Spokane Washington (EAST side of the state) probably in June. I'll be near my youngest son and his wife. I can't wait. Really looking forward to it. FINALLY I'll be living near a kid and can be a mother-in-law full time!
HUGS!
-
How wonderful!!! Wow - that's a big move! I am so happy for you but sad for us - you have been the facilitator for our get togethers here in Michigan so we will definitely miss you:) Yes, would love to get together with you at least one more time before you take off for your new life in the northwest...(((Hugs)))
-
I’ll be traveling Mar. 25-Apr. 10 and again May 14-25. I can make any other dates work.
-
Maureen, I am really excited about the move. A whole new chapter in my life at 70!
ChiSandy, We'd love to have you come. Here's where we meet SandHill Crane Vineyards I'll keep in mind the dates you aren't available. Please PM me with your email address. Time to send a blast out to all our people.
HUGS!!!
-
So hey there - just found out this morning that I've got what appears to be a new primary cancer. Same breast as before, same location, but different hormone receptors. Sucks. I'd really love to get together with everyone soon - how is later February/early March for everyone? Jo, any idea when you might be back this way in March?
I'm fulling expecting chemo again (waiting on Her2 results, but it's ER- and PR- so it's either triple negative or Her2+which would require Herceptin), and likely a bmx when it's all done. Crap. I'm going to eat some chocolate cupcakes and feel sorry for myself this weekend, then put on my warrior gear and get ready for whatever's to come.
xoxo
-
Nancy, that's crap! I don't blame you for feeling sorry for yourself. I feel sorry for you. Wish I could be there and give you hugs in person. Any weekend is good right now. You pick. I'll show up. As soon as you decide I'll send out an email. We have a couple new people who might like to come (one from Chicago even!).
HUGS!!!!
-
Nancy, Eat the cupcakes, open a bottle of good wine, and have a good cry. I'm sending hugs until I get there to give you one in person. You have a larger support team this go round. I'll look into reservations and see if I can make early March.
-
Thank you, Jo. We definitely need you for our group hug for Nancy!
HUGS!
-
So how about Saturday, March 5 or March 12? I found enough frequent flyer miles for 2 one way flights. Preferences anyone?
-
Both are fine for me, Jo. YEAH for finding frequent flyer miles. I'll send out an email. It's been since Sept 26th! Way too long.
HUGS!
-
Jo, you do whatever's best for you and your mom. I will still be here (I promise!!) whenever you make it. We all have stuff going on that's important, so we make it work when we can. I would assume either of those weekends will work for me - who knows, I might be bald by then. :-)
-
Nancy, if you ARE bald, know you will be beautiful (like you are now) because you were beautiful bald before!
HUGS!
-
(((Nancy))) sending you gentle hugs and keeping you close in my thoughts and prayers...I finished my chemo just 3 years ago and had my BMX in March 2013 - not that long ago and not a fond memory but I do know how bald feels and...I can always tell you my "wig blowing down the street story" if you need a quick chuckle. You are a wonderful, warm person and will be just as beautiful bald as you are now...looking forward to seeing you and giving you (((Hugs))) in person, take care, hang in there, we are here for you:) Maureen
-
You ladies are so wonderful. I lost my hair four years ago so it won't be a surprise. I didn't wear a wig (though I'd love to hear your story Maureen!) just hats and scarves. Not sure what I'll do this time. Maybe a tattoo!
-
Nancy, a tattoo? THAT I would love to see
HUGS!
-
Hi Ladies, I'm new. I thought I'd better introduce myself since I will be meeting you all in March! I did write a short bio so you can check that out and all the other BC stuff is at the bottom of my post.
Suzanne
-
Sue, we're glad to have you! Where are you in Michigan? Definitely looking forward to meeting you in real life on March 5th.
HUGS!
-
Very small town in the middle of Monroe county. I will PM you if you like.
-
Dang. I knew that! Brain is not functioning. Sorry about that. Argh! I've got a cold - that's the problem! Not senility
HUGS!!
-
Nice to have you join us Suzanne, wish it was under other circumstances:) I look forward to meeting in person in March!...you are another of those great examples of a person who "does everything right" and still gets blindsided by this beast - sigh...as the Johns Hopkins study revealed, getting cancer is often just "bad luck" and NOTHING that we have done wrong (((Hugs))) Maureen
-
Thank you Maureen!
-
I'm looking forward to meeting you all in person this weekend!!!
