Mets through nodes or blood stream....

Options

I've just finished chemo (yay) and am now moving on to the surgical part of my journey. So as things are winding down of course I'm starting to stress about mets. I remember my MO telling me that it's much more likely for cells to met through the nodes than the blood stream. Has anyone else heard this or heard any percentages of how many with clear nodes have distant recurrance?

I would like to hear that, too! I was so happy when I got clear nods, I felt like from now on I'm safe, the only danger is recurrence but then realised that there is so many of those who had clear nods and still had mets :(

I am wanting to find out experiences of people who had a spinal biopsy and if they were given sedation for it? My PET Scan lit up a spot on my spine that my oncologist wants to biopsy. Can anyone help me with this experience?

i think it depends on how aggressive the tumor was in addition to nodal involvement. Unfortunately those of us with grade 3/her2/triple neg etc the likelihood is higher (as explained by my MO)

you did all the treatments for this reason - to knock out anything that may have escaped -

You just gotta believe it worked and its gone for good plus you will be on hormone therapy which is crucial
