Wednesday Weigh In

I'm down 2 to 133. I don't believe it because yesterday I was up .5 to 135.5. DH was gone and I only had a snack for dinner. Perhaps that's the key. Stop eating dinner. It will probably be back up tomorrow.

Here's a link if you want to read the study regarding people having varying reactions to the same foods. While they used continuous glucose monitoring, I wonder if it's possible to determine bad foods by using a regular glucose meter after a meal?

I was the same. I have been highly unmotivated!
-
165.6 - Down 2.4 - yay!
-
Yay, Patoo and other losers!
-
I am checking in early because later today we go off for a 10 day vacation in Arizona. I have managed to scrape off two pounds & hope to not gain more than two while gone. We will be very active, but I know we will be eating a lot too! Balance, balance, balance!!!
-
Enjoy, Ruthbru!
-
Have fun ruthbru! I'm up (but not reporting today) and hope moving a few boxes/bins and small bookcases today for loading onto a small truck tomorrow to take to DS plus a class this afternoon, will result in same or loss report tomorrow.
-
I'm 169 this morning, up a lb from yesterday but down 3 lbs from Mon. I have abstained from my evening cocktail for two days straight and so has dh. Yesterday I had lunch out and that was probably the reason I was up a lb. this morning. I had a wonderful salad with blue cheese dressing which is a little salty as well as high cal. I think I'm salt sensitive.
Hope everyone has had a good week.
-
I was down .9 yesterday but today I'm 129.9 so my official weigh in is down .6. I thought I was so good yesterday but salt may have gotten me too. At lunch I had a piece of restaurant chicken which probably had more salt than I would use.
-
Up 1.5 to 134.5. Grrrrr. We need to get a new scale. Anyone have a recommendation for one that's not too expensive and is reliable. Yesterday our scale couldn't decide if I weighed 0.0 or 190. It has problems and we had just reset it.
-
Stayed same at 165.6. My eating has been not the best and exercise not consistent so I'll take that.
Wren44, I think if only you are using the scale then you don't have to spend a lot on one as it would be all relative to you. I can swear that my scale (Weight Watchers) gives me a different weight depending on whether I step on it with the left foot first (lower weight) or right foot on first (I'm heavier). I've been threatening to replace it also.
-
Up slightly but am not too worried. ..I've been much more active and presume I'll be down next week if things go as they often do. I do need to eat just a bit less to get moving downward again.
Congratulations to this week's losers!
-
I had a Tanita scale and i felt it was very accurate. It weighed to the half pound and I decided I wanted one that looked better and weighed to the tenth of a poundso I bought a weight watchers and I get annoyed at it. I can get on the scale and it will be totally off. I have to weigh with something heavy to see it register a different weight then I get back on. At that point it seems close in comparison to the dr scale but I don't understand how it can be so off the first couple of times.
-
I sometimes wonder about my ww scale as well. Seems like it might be 'remembering' previous days and is just lazy so gives me something it already reported. Yeah, I can make excuses for not losing
-
Yes, Patoo. It will weigh the same and I'll know I either ate little or I ate a lot and it can't be the same. I weigh three times every morning. Get on scale. Get off. Weigh with my makeup mirror. Get off. weigh again. It's always different and accurate the final weigh.
-
Ok, as long as I go down or at least stay the same I'll take it but if I go up I will try your three strike method!
-
My scale must be off, too. I'm up a whole kilo. Yikes!
-
I am down .3 if you can call that down.
-
Up .5 from last Wed.
-
Down 400 grams. But I will be overeating again tomorrow so it won't be down for long.
-
Still on vacation. Moving a lot but eating a lot too. Scared to get on the scale!
-
Stayed the same at 134.5. I'm sort of surprised it didn't go up. I bought ginger snaps at the store and should know better.
-
stayed the same
-
Up 1 to 135.5.
-
I was actually down 1/2 a pound from before I went on vacation.....no, I can not explain it!
-
Up to 167.6 which is not a surprise after the weekend I had. Will do better next week. (yes, I will!
-
I am down 2.3lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!! My hubby and I are doing a low carb challenge. I hope I'll be able to sustain the loss and it's not just water.
-
Good for you Two Hobbies! I lost a fair amount of weight doing low carb and have not gained it back.
-
I lost snother 1.8 lbs. it looks like I can really recommend a very low carb diet. I didn't expect to lose much weight because I already reduce carbs but it's working. !
