The Breast Cancer Index (BCI) has some excellent information on the test and the benefit of continuing AIs. Only 3-5% of women benefit by extending. Of course, I am one. Has anyone else taken the test?

Nevermind, I googled it and it requires a tumor sample. That boat sailed a long time ago (in my case, Sept 2011). Can't take the test.

I just had it done but don't have the results back yet.  This test was originally designed for node negative patients, but is now being used for node positives (not sure if there is a top number of positive nodes allowed) much as Oncotype Dx is.  I am at 5 years on AI drugs this summer, but have had bone loss so am also on Prolia.  Here is the link:

I don't know if I totally buy the 3-5%, and I am surprised that it is not higher - I assume that Biotheranostics is basing that figure on the type of test they are doing on tissue, but I don't think the statistical data is in yet for recurrence rates among those who have extended AI drugs specifically for 10 years.

Claire - my original surgery was in Nov of 2010 and they used mine.

My dr had the test done for me and thank goodness it came back with the results of only needing to take Tamo for 5 years. (but right now, I am secretly on a break from Tamo)!
