I was diagnosed with Invasive mammary carcinoma back on January 8, 2016. This is the first time I have gone through anything like this. Is it customary to have to wait one or two weeks before treatment?

  I think it depends on your physicians. I was diagnosed on 1/8. If I wouldn't have wanted tomorrow as my surgery date, I would have had to wait until the middle of February. Good luck to you!
