The biopsy and placement didn't hurt and watching it via US was very interestIng. The Physician pointed out that the area of concern is a Starlike shape with quite a bit of shadowing.

Unfortunately because today is Thursday ThumbsDown I will likely not be given Pathology reports until Monday or Tuesday. So, the waiting game.

All the best to everyone waiting for results!

    Hi Affinity42,

Best of luck, hoping your biopsy is a lovely, clearly b9 one! I am between tests at the moment. Waiting is the hardest part.

I had the same procedure done Tuesday.Did they do a mammogram after clip placement? I am hearing some don't check it.I had a mammo after.I get my results tonight(fri). I know I will be so scared to answer the phone. I have no idea which way it is going to go. My dr wouldn't not discuss anything she was seeing on the ultrasound,or what they saw before on tests. absolute silence even when I ask. That worries me more, since the last time I went to her for a lump she was right up front all the time that she felt it was nothing.I didn't watch the biopsy part done on screen but I did watch the clip be placed. I did see what I call 2 wings coming off the nodule and have no idea what that means. But I am pretty sure there isn't an angel in there.lol

    Good luck!!

    Karlyrie,

An Angel? Lol, loving your sense of humor! Yes they did another Mammo right after. The Radiologist did mention it's suspicious for IDC, but told me IF that's what it is they caught it early. The waiting (grrrrrr). It's 9 am here and I was told I wouldn't likely get a call until Monday or Tues. I have the phone by my side though. I imagine with the time difference, you have your results now. Thinking about you!

    Hi Affinity42,

I'm an Oregonian like you. I'm in Portland and have run the gauntlet in finding the best treatment team.

Starlike sounds suspicious for lobular cancer, but we don't know yet.

We have some great advatages living in our State. Also some breast cancer leaders to avoid like the plague. Would love to share what I've found.

And the waiting is the hardest part. I'm sorry you have the entire weekend before results.

No results yet it is only 12:29 here and I am told I wont hear until at least 5pm-7pm.I did just get some paper work in the mail with a summary of my visit. On that it said Birad 4 on both mammogram and US no letter next to it. I don't even know what type they would be questioning with me.So secretive. One dr said "it is small" I guess that is a good thing but on the ultra sound screen it kept showing 8 cm,the first one showed 6 cm.Now maybe that is depth from front of breast since mine is so far back.

maybe it is an angel watching over the nodule protecting me?,ya I am going with that LOL

Pat is good! I need a name for mine, i thought of $^$%^$%#%^& but I don't know how to spell that, but it is what I type when I want to swear.Maybe just good old "spot" or "prada" since it is hiding with wings,All I can think of is the devil wears prada.

Prada :) The Radiologist office JUST called to see how I'm feeling! Normally I would appreciate that but WTF? Don't call and give me a heart attack 😬

Yes,you must have had your biopsy by a radiologist? I had mine done by a breast surgeon and they called two days later to check on me. Every time the phone rings is like a heart attack!! Did they say they would call you with results? Some have to go in for results. It is going to be so hard to breath when they do call until the first sentence or two are out..

OK, you two are very funny. I need a name too! Thinking about naming mine after my boyfriend, who made it a few weeks past diagnosis, then finally chickened out and left with no notice. So it will bear his name and when it is removed next week I will be completely rid of him!!!

I wish you both the best of luck with your calls, but I will share some advice. In my heart I already knew which way mine was going to go, and I had several dear friends on standby. I got my call with my bad news at 3pm, and by 3:30pm my house was full of dear friends who stayed with me all night. We drank wine and laughed and got battle ready, and I am so grateful for them.

And sorry to say, but the waiting gets worse for those who are diagnosed. I have had nothing but good news with each step of my journey so far, but the elation lasts about 2 hours until you start worrying about the next test. My surgery is next Thursday and if my lymph nodes and margins are clear, I won't have to do chemo. I am petrified that all the other tests came back in my favor but the rug will be pulled out from under me at the last minute. Ugh.

Funny you should mention the ex because that was my other name for it "ex". I too have a boyfriend that can not deal with this, since I told him on Jan 4th that I would need a biopsy soon he hasn't asked one thing about when I am having one or how is it going,he doesn't even know I had a biopsy on Tuesday. He hasn't even said more than 2 sentences to me in the last 22 days. I am thinking he will be an ex soon enough, his wife left him when she was diagnosed with BC also.Guess he just cant deal with things.I am glad to know there are others out there that have these men, well not glad but we know we are better off with out them in the end. I don't even want to tell him if it is bad news. But I live there.Dont worry I have my own home to go to,so no out in the cold for me!! I am going to get through this with laughter and good people.

Oh and good luck on your surgery! no one will dare pull the rug out! Your on you way to eradicating the ex? are you going to use his whole name or initials?

I am in the same hope even if it is bad news that it will be good prognosis bad news.Every cancer I have had has been caught early! hoping #3 is to.

Well, sounds like your guy has a history and a reason for being scared. My hope for you is that yours is nothing, as many biopsies turn out to be. Do you want to know what to ask if you get bad news? Or just stick with the positive thinking for now?

If I am told bad I want to know type and grade, for sure.Size, since they have not told me that yet. This isn't my first trip with cancer so I will go with the flow if need be,there is a board here that will discuss options next Thursday which the nurse said mine would be discussed then, hmmm not if it is b9 I thought.

OK, keep us posted. The only other thing I got in the original phone call was a referral/already scheduled apt with a BS. I promptly did my own research and asked some other doctors for recommendations, and I switched to a different BS and made a new appointment within a couple hours of my original call.

    Wishing you good news :)

I am already with a BS,she is the one that will call. I will stick with her as far as I know.
