Symposium on Cancer Survivorship - Fascinating information

Tt is hosted by the American Society of Clinical Oncology and I found out about it by following I Want More Than a Pink Ribbon on Facebook. She is posting excerpts from the powerpoint presentation and this quote was appropriate "If is as if we have invented sophisticated techniques to save people from drowning, but once they have been pulled from the water, we leave them on the dock to cough and sputter on their own in the belief that we have done all we can."

There seems to be greater recognition of the need for after care and cardiac rehab after toxic chemo treatments, and also a continuing emphasis on the importance of physical activity while recognizing it can be difficult due to chronic fatigue.
