Diep Surgeon in SF/Sac area

Hi! I had DIEP flap 6 weeks ago with Dr Gabriel Kind at CPMC in San Francisco. I find him to be very smart, warm and skilled, and I adore his assistant Candice. I think his work looks fantastic, although I am likely to get stage 2 clean up work at some point. Both Dr Kind and Candice are patient and attentive, they gave me a lot of great objective info to consider when I was making decisions at the outset. I do feel like the onus is has been me a lot to ask questions during recovery rather than have them give me all the information I need up front. Of course, sometimes that's because every patient is going to be different and you don't want to bombard people with stuff they won't need. So I've spent a lot of time on here and on Facebook asking others about their experiences and tips. The hospital care at CPMC was spotty, a couple of amazing nurses who helped me tremendously, a couple who were acceptable, and a couple who actively pissed me off. Overall, I would definitely recommend my team.

I also had Dr. Chang, who is in practice with Dr.Kind, both of whom are excellent. I had a great outcome and would recommend them to anyone considering a DIEP.
