Anyone else have total skin-sparing MX and fat grafting? I had my BMX done in Aug and the exchange with fat grafting 2nd week of Nov. Even though they did some fat grafting, I still have significant rippling in some areas because the skin is so thin.

Has anyone had to have multiple fat grafting procedures due to this issue?

Multiple fat grafts are pretty common as some amount of reabsorption happens most of the time, and this is why some docs wait until a number of months after exchange to graft.  Some of what may have looked like grafted fat may have been swelling also.  You are not very far out from exchange so the appearance of your implants may still continue to change.  Sometimes if they drop a bit rippling lower on the breast may resolve, but worsen in other areas.  IMHO waiting at least six months is probably advisable, then your PS will know exactly where to put the fat.

Ok. Sounds reasonable. I see PS for a follow up on Wed and I'll ask about his plan. His nurse is the one that mentioned there may be more fat grafting needed in the future so I'll see what the PS says

I'm three months out from my implant exchange surgery, and things still haven't "settled" completely. I think because I am right handed, the muscle on that side is taking a little longer to relax around the implant? Just had a follow-up with my PS last week, and he wants to wait until the 6 month point before even considering the fat grafting.
