IBC and going around and around
Hello I am suffering from severe anxiety with breast issues. Back in October my right breast started to hurt so I had a mammogram and ultrasound. All was fine but I still was worried about pain so my breast surgeon decided to do surgery. He took out a lump and part of the skin tissue for a biopsy. All came back clear. I get these red dots on my skin that are under the skin. They stay for a few days and then go away again. It was just on one breast and now it's on the other one. The left breast now looks pinkish all over with tiny purple veins around the nipple. Am I going crazy? My general dr took a punch biopsy today of one of the red spots and it was the tiniest piece of skin removal. The pain seems to have stopped in my right breast but now I am freaking out about the left. So scared....What other dr should I see to rule this out?

Freckled, the beautiful and wise Bon has given you good info....biopsy will diagnose cancer or not, so if you do get the good news, benign, trust the test results and put your mind at ease. There are many reasons our breasts can give us concerns, please do keep us posted

See a Dermatologist for your skin issues. There are MANY possibilities.
IBC is rare and progresses rapidly - often literally overnight. It does not 'come and go' or move 'around'. It seldom (if ever) presents as a 'lump' but as a 'nest' or in 'bands'. It seldom (if ever) presents in both breasts.
You've had a mammo and US - "All was fine". Then a surgeon " took out a lump and part of the skin tissue for a biopsy - "All came back clear.".
I am IBC and have been for years and nothing you are describing is what I experienced at all (or anyone else I've known who is IBC).
Do find out what is going on but do not obcess on something that has basically been shown to not be what is going on. A Therapist or Counselor might also help you dealing with your issues.
I do sincerely hope that you find the help you need.

I will add, for more reassurance, that IBC doesn't come and go, so the red spots are very unlikely to be anything IBC related. If you have had a biopsy (you have) and an ultrasound (check) and been examined and specifically discussed IBC and other cancer possibilities and you are still unsure, you might take all of that data and slides and get a second opinion at a major cancer center. I think you have been given great advice here already but if a second opinion will allow you to sleep at night, do it

Thank You for the responses. I see the breast surgeon again on Monday and will ask about the other breast. It is still pink with tiny purple veins that almost look like They have busted under the skin. Sometimes it's really noticeable and then other times not so much. Still stressed over this but thankful you all respond.
