Hope, I will pray that you find peace with your decision, but I am also strongly hoping there are some additional tx options out there that WILL work for you. I hope taking a break from meds will make the holiday season everything you want it to be with your family, as well as give you some renewed energy. Please take extra good care of yourself, and know that you are in my thoughts and prayers more often than you probably realize, and I'm sure that's true for all of those you've touched here on BCO. Hope, I am so glad to hear from you but very sad to hear of all you are going through. Can certainly understand how you needed to take a break and just enjoy good times with your family. It's so nice to be "normal" even for just a few hours and not thinking about cancer. I think of you often, many of us here do. I always felt a connection to you with our similar profiles - ILC and treatments, and you have helped me so much. I pray that there is something that can help you. As you are making decisions, I hope that you have a nice holiday season with good times with your family and friends.

Hope - good to see you. I know you'll make the right decisions for you and your family and want you to know that as much as you say we've helped you, you've helped so many more of us especially when there is a change of tx - you've made it all seem so doable. Sending love and hugs your way and a wish for a peaceful holiday with your family.

No apologies necessary, Hope. You need to do what helps you most in during this time, and if this discussion board is not what you need right now, we will understand. You have reached a place with a very difficult decision, and only you can know what is best for you. I'm so glad you have been having quality time with your family. (If you do decide to consider chemo, I will say that it did work well for my ILC.)

That is good to know Shetland as I hear so many negative reports about chemo and ILC. I've already been told since Letrozole apparently failed me that the 2 other ai's will as well. Hate blazing through options already.....

For those of you who were worried about Hope and respected her wish for privacy at this time , i have some news and update about her.

Hope's marrow is completely infiltrated throught her body, her blood numbers are very low, she has an invasion in the epidural lumbar and the beginning of leptiomenengial mets with no neurological symptoms yet thank God.

She will be seeing her doctor today to decide which option she has. Due to her body's inability to withstand harsh treatments , options are not many and have to be chosen carefully.

She may go on halavin to try and get back some of her bone marrow. She is doing her best to spend some time with her family and is unable to post at this time. Join me, in prayers and good wishes for her and her lovely family as she was always the first to help , inpire and encourage each and everyone of us. Lovely lady in and out .

Thank you Woody. Hope has been special to so many of us - being the pioneer for many treatments and taking the time to guide us through them - keeping her close. S.

Thank you for letting us know about Hope.

Hope, you are just a very special person and you have given so much to so many of us with your posts on so many of the threads. You have guided me through this past year with all your advice and support on the AA and Ibrance threads. You have shown me that we can and must try to live each day to its fullest. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I hope that you are spending time with your family and loved ones (including your wonderful labs). Sending much love to you and your family.

Thank you Woody, I too had been wondering about Hope. This makes me so very sad. Hope's are some of the first posts I started reading on here when I was new. She is truly a gracious and lovely woman. Praying Hope that the next step is gentle on you and you can spend more quality time with your family.

I will, i am updating her daily. Her Halaven got postponed today due to pain which was increasing for the past few days. She is getting steroid instead to control it. She told me as soon as she feels better, she will take time to read all your messages. She is going through rough times and is very appreciative for your heartfelt concern.
