Don't get too hung up on the bicycling--that's more an indicator of the nature of the location, than its primary attraction. But I'll keep that in mind about the St. Lawrence Waterway.
I suspect that I may be more aware of this location than many others on the boards, though I don't live particularly near it, in terms of distance

I didn't guess that cause I thought you said most wouldn't know it. Blahhhhhh. Hubby biked it, I rode a horse around the island. I was fascinated by the locks. Very cool how they figured out the water levels for travel
