lol. Ex-husband worked for General Dynamics in the 1980s and got transferred here. Before that I was born in Chicago but lived in Southern Illinois until 1987 when I moved here. And what a great move it was
-
Wonderful place to live, if you can afford a house!!!!!
-
Katy, Was thinking about you and just wondering how you're doing. Sending you a (((HUG))). Just because.
-
Thanks Karen. I am here (lurking a bit) waiting. I've handled the waiting fairly well. Tomorrow is a big day to see where we go from here. Hoping the liver enzymes are down, estrogen is down (so I can switch to an AI) and an all clear for the bone scan.
I'm so relieved to be feeling less depressed than a month ago. I have no idea how much to attribute to being off the Tamox for 30 days, the holidays being over, or what. But I do feel better. Nothing has really changed but I'm in a much different place and I'm grateful.
-
Glad to hear it. I'll be thinking of you tomorrow and hoping for all good news
-
Katy, I'll be in your pocket tomorrow too.
-
thanks guys. This is for you:
Oo
You proved it. Over and over
-
I will be thinking of you tomorrow, Katy.
-
Katy, Tomorrow please wear something with big pockets. Every time you start to get nervous, stick your middle finger in one of those pockets. That's where you'll find us, hanging out in your pocket, joining you in a resounding chorus of FU** CANCER! Hate that you have to go through the stress of waiting for test results
-
Katy...will be in your pocket too tomorrow.
PB
-
With you, Katy!
-
Katy, what time is your appointment? Or will they call you?
-
Katy, I will be there too with both middle fingers shoved in your pocket
-
Katy ((hugs)) you know I'm right there w/ you. xo
-
2 pm PST
-
Hugs from me, too, Katy. Hope you have BIG pockets.
Last year after New Year's passed I told my daughter how I hated NYs. I had a terrible feeling that something bad would happen in 2015--maybe a sickness or death of a parent. So I was wrong about the details. Diagnosed a month later.
So far, a good feeling in my soul. Hoping for an awesome 2016 for all of us!!!!
-
So 1 pm my time. If your pocket gets too crowded, can we hang out in your purse too? Also, my MO checkup is tomorrow at 9...want to hang out in my pocket then?😊
-
Jen- I think it is one hr later, not earlier, but it doesn't matter. Let's just hang out all day together, K?
-
Sounds perfect! I'll PM you my number. Text buddies?
-
deal
-
Katy. I'll be with you. It'll be a very full pocket. Sounds like you have all of us in there xxx
-
Happy New Year everybody.... I am still catching up on the thread but wanted to jump in and say I am with ya Katy, Hugs to you and put me in that pocket too!
-
Good morning. I'm with you!
-
Good morning, all.
Katy, you'd better have big pockets today - I'll be hitching a ride with you today as well. Let us know when you have news.
-
Realized the only way I'd get to work today is by chaining up my tires.I slammed my morning coffee and bundled up like the Michelin man. Just as I took a knee in front of first tire I remembered I had failed to don my trusty LE sleeve. Dang it. Considered the risks for a moment before waddling back inside to strip down and pull the dang thing on. Then back into the snow gear and out to the tundra. BTW. it's 34 degrees here with an inch of snow and the city is paralyzed and we all think we're going to freeze to death like Jack in The Shining.
-
Sloth- ugh! Be safe.
-
mostly good news
Bone scan is clear
Liver enzymes only improved a few points but other liver functions ok.
FSH was in meno, estradiol still not meno. But I think doc is swaying towards an AI with no OS needed. Since I haven't had a period in over 3 yrs!
So they are switching me to an AI. Not sure which one. She says they can try them all until I find one I can live with. And hopefully liver ezymes will continue downward. After 30 days they should have come down almost all the way. Weird.
So yay for degeneration !!!!
Thanks for the pocket party everyone
-
Mostly great! And better than having liver enzymes go up!
-
And good bone scan!
-
Great news Katy! We can all breathe now! How often will they check your liver values?
