Breast problems and now Ovarian Cyst

Hello,

Just wondering how many of you in addition to having breast problems also have Ovarian Cysts? I went today to the ER because I had some bleeding and wanted to check my cervix and found out I have a simple 2cm Cyst. I already have a host of B9 (thanks goodness) breast problems, but now the cyst? I'm 42 and had a hysterectomy 5 years ago for internat endometroisis.

I know this isn't a forum for 'cyst' problems. I'm been feeling super nauseous these last days and can't see how a 2cm cyst would be causing this. Oh well,

here we go again. I feel like a car going for a complete service in January….

OB/GYN next Thursday.

Any advice on how to get rid of a cyst? I really don't want any surgery.

Best

Alicki

PS: I also found out that I have cysts on my cervix but they are nabothian cysts - harmless.

Yup me. I have had cysts since 11 yrs old. The bc pill or evening primrose caps worked for me. Ovarian cyst do dont bleed externally tho. Are they sure it wasnt cervix of vaginal cuff bleeding? Oops just saw last line of nabothian cyst. Evening primrose gel caps I swear by them and less stress. I found every time i get stressed i get a cyst. No nauseous problems for me with cyst tho..

Ovarian cysts come and go. For the most part they are harmless (just like breast cysts are)and most women have them at one time or another. All women have follicle cysts when they are ovulating. If you hadn't had an ultrasound you wouldn't know you had it. I'm unaware of anything you can do to "get rid of it" and can't understand why surgery would be recommended. Why did you go to the ER for spotting?

    hi,

Thanks for responding. I went because I have had a hysterectomy in 2010 and have bloody discharge (OB/GVN on holiday). But recently, I have had bad nausea, blenching and bloating, constipation and wondered whether that could have anything to do with it. THe Gyn at the ER sent that's it was a cyst (fluid) and to follow up in 2 to 3 weeks. Back in 2010, docs hesitated taking ovaries out but they thought I was too young (37 then), females in the family have had ongoing 'downstairs problems' and grandmother had cancer but rather in the late age so not considered as hereditary.

Not too concerned just fed-up. And know I have cysts on my cervix too! I didn't know woman could have so many cysts (breasts, ovaries, cervix)

    Anyways, thanks for your answer.

A simple or fluid filled ovarian cyst almost always go away without treatment. Sometimes there is pain associated with them. I've resolved several over the years. Including a couple of ones since starting Tamoxifen. 2cm is a small cyst, I'm a little surprised it was considered a cyst & not a follicle. My brain(however limited) remembers being told years ago that cysts have to be >3cm.

I find it perplexing that you are still on a cancer forum and not seeking treatment for your medical anxieties issues. This thread is labelled "waiting for test results".

Surely you would be better served in a forum with people with medical anxiety and you are more likely to have that issue solved (if you really are hoping to solve it) rather than visiting a forum that increases your anxiety. It is troubling for me as I deal with cancer to come here and see you still here with endless issues that turn out to be "not cancer". It feels like you are oblivious to the affect you have on women actually dealing with cancer.

    dear Wrenn,

The moderators created a b9 section and a high risk section and waiting for. Tests . I don't go on the diagnosed sections but I remain here. I am checked every six months and considered high risk by breast surgeon.

Now I can't stop you thinking what you want. That's your problem. Nor do I have to justify myself to you either.

But given we have a high risk and b9 section, I consider that I have every right to be here as anyone else does. And if I am undergoing tests (which I am), then I have every right to post in this section.

I also support women on these sections.

And as for being oblivious to women who have cancer, this is absolutely ridiculous. I find their posts very informative and as I say don't post in diagnosed section. But I value the information they provide and am grateful for it.

As the end of day, we Re a community of women supporting each other. Do you really want to start segregating among us

As for anxiety, that's my problem not yours. And as far As I know, I'm not asking you for any advice for it and would prefer that you don't volunteer it.

    Best wishes,

    dear Coralla,

Thanks- I too was wondering about the 2cm issue. Will check with my OB/GYN.

It's just all the nausea and bowl movement issues I'm been having.

Anyways that's for your input and a happy new year to you.

Hear, hear...as the English say! We are all brave, strong women, and we come here because sometimes even brave, strong women need a shoulder to lean on, or someone to allay our fears. The moderators have created a place that is section out for each of our specific needs. Please let's not undermine what is being accomplished here, or each other. Stay strong my beautiful sisters

    Hello,

I have also just recently discovered a cyst on one of my ovaries 5cm in size. My gynecologist instructed me to stop taking the Tamoxifen that I have been on for 2 years and wait until 8 days until after my next period and do a scan. I will have that on the 18 January 2016. He said is quite normal, nothing to worry about and that it will have disappeared or at least reduced by the time of the scan. That said, today, I am feeling a little nauseous and my tummy aches slightly...

Was interested to read that Evening Primrose capsules worked (Karlyrie's post) as I can't find much on what I can do myself (naturally, food, supplements) to help myself. Interesting to see also that one of you also knows that they get cysts when they are stressed/worried. Possibly my case at the moment as I have recently been made redundant !

I was never told to stop Tamoxifen & the cysts still went away. My GYN also test my CA125(marker for ovarian cancer). He said he wanted to see if it went up when I got these cysts. It did. Then it went down after they resolved. Lots of false positives with CA125.

i agree , un less it is the rhousans, CA 125 are useless! I think in Europe They most l'y use them to monitor cancer but not aa a diagnostic tool
