10 years of Tamoxifen for low-grade cancer? Opinions.

    The tamoxifen decisions really need to be individualized, which means you should try to consult an onc who will look at all your risk factors, do some math, and tell you his/her thoughts based on experience. And also work with you concerning side effects. One thing I don't see mentioned here is that late recurrences are often the low grade, hormone receptor positive cancers.

    (Oh, I see that Fastwalker did mention it in August.)

    Met with my MO in S.F. and asked about BCI. They pitched it to him, so he researched it and then declined their offer. He didn't give me any details, but I could feel his skepticism. I guess I will stop worrying until the next 4 years are up! Anyway, I have a feeling I will stay on endocrine therapy for at least 10 years unless the SEs become too severe.
