For those who had FEC-T Treatment

What is the difference in the side effects you experienced from one to the other? Mom had her last round of FEC and next one will be T. It hasn't been too awful the last three rounds (she has had hair loss, metallic taste in her mouth, weakness and diarreaha mostly) but is wondering how the next 3 will be. The doctors and nurses won't seem to tell her and just keep saying they will wait until that time comes :)

Anyways, is there anything major she should expect? Does it get better/worse?

    hi,

    Sorry to hear about your mom's diagnosis.

    The major differences I noticed were less nausea, more joints pains, constipation, mouth thrust, and water retention. I think I put on most of the weight during the last 3 sessions. Bone and muscle pain was the biggest side effect.

    Every person reacts differently so I wish your mom has an easy experience.

    There is an older thread from a bunch of us ladies in 2014 called FEC-D if you want to read more about other women's experience (sorry can't post the link thru my phone). I had an easy experience with the second part.
