Hello ladies, I am 8 months out since my biopsy surgery and then my lymph node surgery. I am lately feeling twinges of pain in the breast similar to about a month or so after surgery, I remember the surgeon telling me it's all the nerve endings healing themselves again. But my question is , would I still be feeling these twinges of pain 8 months later too? Has anyone else experienced pain this long after surgery? Thanks gals!!

My surgery was in May & I'm still feeling occasional twinges. Did you have radiation? I had a duct removed on my other breast 2 years ago and remember feeling those twinges for a long time after that. Nerves are funny things when it comes to healing.

My surgery was almost 3 years ago, and the "little guy with the knife " still attacks my breast or underarm occasionally. I guess old nerves regenerate slowly.

I know it's not the BS fault but I feel a little butchered. I see that lazer ablation about to be approved or has been. What took so long with that I wonder

Hello, thankyou for responding. I did have radiation also and lymph node removal.

My surgeon told me that the twinges and so on would likely continue, with diminishing frequency, for about a year and a half and still might crop uo occasionally after that point but not as regularly.

Some of it probably depends on how much tissue was removed, how many radiation tx (and to what areas), etc.

I too had radiation. That affects your nerves and tissues as I understand it
