I remember the pain and redness being very intense after my 2nd and 3rd treatments, it did get better after the 4th and I started to see improvements then. I think it was the chemo killing the cancer cells, but it felt like a war inside my breast. My doctor did give me a script for pain meds.

I have no suggestions but others might. I never had any pain or redness.

When did you start neoadjuvant Chemo and which are you on? I did DD A/C neoadjuvant and started getting good response after first infusion. My TX plan was different than most as after my A/C I had UMX instead of going on to a different Chemo. I did do 12 weekly Taxol adjuvant, followed a week later with rads. Different than most do but worked great for me - 6+ yrs and still NED so it worked for me.

    Talk to your Dr.

I did taxotere, cytoxin & adriamyacin. After 8 months of chemo, my breast was still red but softer. A year later, my onc had me do a bi-lateral mastectomy and no infection left or redness. I had gel implants as well.

Thanks ladies for taking the time too respond to my post. Still in pain. My Chemotherapy consists of Carboplatin, Docetaxel,Taxotere and Herceptin. Even on Chemo cancer spread to my right breast and left breast is worse. Surgeon has me scheduled for double mastectomy on December 22. REALLY SCARED.
