I know that higher testosterone levels in conditions like PCOS can lead to higher cholesterol and LDL levels, but I don't know if Tamoxifen and Arimidex affect testosterone levels overall

Amy, one of my residuals from neuropathy is a slight feeling on the tips of my fingers like I touched them for an instant on a hot griddle, as best I can explain it. It has mostly gone away, but came back a month ago, and now it is starting to subside again. Hugs, and sorry you are going through round two with neuropathy symptoms.

At last doctor appointment, after a clean mammogram, breast Doctor pushed on the MRI (get it done now type of thing), and MO pushed on a follow up PET scan. I hear so many people say they can't get scans, and I seem to get approval from insurance for everything, not sure that's a good thing. Just recently, a new recommendation came out against scans. I told both doctors I'm not thinking about doing any scans right now, I will think about it in January because I want to enjoy the holidays in ignorant bliss. And I feel great, other than having a cold. So happy for everybody who has had great tests results

I feel like I only post when sick but am sooooo sick of this. Started w an other UTI yesterday. Saw urologist recently and cystoscope looked good. She wanted to try a different prophylactic antibiotic but I said no because this one can cause pneumonitis or lung inflammation. Not interested after all the blood clots in lungs. But then wham, I get hit w another one. So sick of bladder spasms....so grateful for pyridium!

Mo, The UTIs must be frustrating. I hope you kick it soon.

Amy, The chemo does not cause carpal tunnel per se, but it can cause joint inflammation, so if you are already predisposed to it, it may make it more likely...or so I was told.

Theresa, the people from my 2013 group who get scanned the most often tend to be in California and Florida. I sometimes think doctors there are more aggressive with it.

I got one and they told me the same thing.

trvler - I actually don't get nervous anymore, lol!  My only concern about yesterday was if she couldn't get the expander in or the skin tore open again in the process. I had 8 major surgeries prior to breast cancer diagnosis, including a very scary one at Moffitt Cancer Center for removal of a golf ball sized tumor in my right calf - they thought it was a sarcoma with a very dire prognosis, or if I was lucky enough for the mass to be benign, the possibility that the nerves were tangled in it meant I would lose the function of my right leg.  There was no preliminary biopsy so I was wheeled into surgery not knowing what they would find.  Benign tumor, no nerve entanglement - was very lucky.  Yesterday's surgery was the 14th breast cancer related surgery - so now it is pretty much like Groundhog Day.

Hahaha...Groundhog Day! That's kinda how I felt after my third breast surgery (but 14th total other surgery) this year.
