Ooohhhh! Wowww!!! I like that! Thanks.
-
a very pretty part of the chamber of commerce Christmas lights in my town
-
Feelingfeline... So beautiful. :-)
-
Beautiful picture feline - I haven't gotten any Christmas stuff up yet and don't travel into town much.
Tried to get the reflections of the water off the tree.. Not sure I made it..
-
Very Christmassy Gma lovely pines
-
-
Umpqua River during an archaeological assignment.
-
Wow, were you on assignment? Were you looking for indigenous artefacts?
-
This will be the only non restful picture allowed because I know it will make everyone laugh.. Yes looking for Artifacts Feline.
Can't tell you where this is (I know just can't say) but another area from the dig. I think the colors in this picture are so beautiful.
-
Sure are! You make hard-hats look good Gma
-
Gma, don't they use those safari hats for digs anymore?
-
it was a hardhat area and that was the only one that fit in the hardhat.
-
Gma, I meant pith helmet. Those are hard.
I still have two that my parents bought from govt surplus WWII.
-
Yup we got snow this weekend -
-
breathtaking!
-
This next picture - still don't know what kind of tree it is, but it makes awesome pictures throughout the seasons.
-
Difficult to tell without foliage (or expert knowledge) The shape makes me think of an Acer (Japanese Maple).
Looking forward to seeing it in all seasons
-
It has tiny red berries on it - kind of like a holly berry. Just never took a sample down to the nursery yet.
Here it is with a turkey eating the berries.
-
One of my old favorites from 2012
-
Brigadoon!!!
-
Two views of the same mountain.
-
oh my goodness is that a wild turkey? Forgive my ignorance, do they still exist? I didn't know! (European turkeys are farmed descendants of original wild turkeys brought to Europe from N America!)
I have just looked it up on wikipedia and so I now know they do exist! (BCO - always educational!)
(I am reminding myself of my late MIL who was so surprised to see wild swans in Ireland as she had only seen them in zoos.)
Your berry bearing tree is definitely not an acer, you definitely need someone more knowledgeable than me
-
Feline - yes that is a female wild turkey.
-
Another old favorite.
-
Love this thread.
-
Thank you Slow.. sometimes I need to hear that. I am having a revision on scars done next week on the 23rd. So I am going to say Merry Christmas now, incase I get too busy. I finally found our little Christmas tree and Nativity Scene. Hope this leaves you peaceful.
-
-
