kbeee - crossing my fingers for you!

jackbirdie - this will not be the last - they are placing a tissue expander, so there will be at least one more, maybe more depending on how things go - it is pretty mangled on my left side from all of the previous surgery, so I may need some progressive fat grafts and the right side will have to be downsized.  This may not even work, so if it doesn't I will have another surgery to remove the right side.  But I appreciate the thought!

e - thanks for the positive energy - sending some back to you for your exchange, you should be much more comfy afterward!

kbee - so pleased for you. It's my personal opinion that those radiologists know when it's a concern or not. I remember mine just kept saying "I'm concerned." I don't think yours would encourage that it's scar tissue if he weren't quite certain. But we'll all feel better after the biopsy.

    Have a great, relaxing evening!

Karen: I am glad you are feeling better. Sometimes just putting it in someone else's hands who is a professional and knowing you are being proactive helps.

Special K, Hoping for a successful procedure that's free from complications.

Sue, I agree if she was really concerned, she would have told me that. In most people, she would not have even had the biopsy as an option. Because my second small tumor this last time was missed on MRI and ultrasound and because the primary tumor looked just like scar tissue, she said in the off chance that things are presenting unusually, it's be good to just be certain. I appreciate that!!! I am looking forward to knowing 100% there's nothing there, and not feeling the lump every day wondering what if we missed something. I slept well last night, am not stressed about it anymore, and am confident all will come out fine. I was last time too and my bubble was burst, but I dealt with it when it burst and if it bursts again, I'll just deal with it. I'll probably be stressed after the procedure waiting for results, but until then, I will rest easy knowing all looks to be good. It's so nice to have my mind back in a better place.

Sharon, I did have my interview on Tuesday. However - the place was chaos. The current teacher had no control over the classroom, the program or the parents. It was a combination of cat herding & the lord of the flies. I have never seen anything like it. They said they will let me know by Monday. If I am offered the job I am going to schedule a meeting with the director to see how much control I would have over completely changing the program. As it is it is not the place for me.

so glad to hear things are looking good Karen and that you are doing well special K, as the others have said, we're here for you.

Sharon, I don't think I would've made it through this year without my 2 dogs and my lap cat. They are the most dependable, most forgiving, and least judgmental creatures on earth and they give me multiple reasons to smile every day. So, you have my full endorsement for getting a pup buddy.

I've never seen a pug/cav cross but both breeds are contagiously joyful and clownish so I imagine a mix of the two would be a wonderful character. I can tell you that here in the U.S., both breeds are prone to health problems (pug has respiratory and skin issues and cavalier has congenital heart abnormalities.) So, you might want to get a vet to examine your friend before you make a final decision. Also, both breeds tend to snore really loud which is a deal breaker for some people!

Eileen, I think today is your big game show day! I wish I could play hookie and watch!!

Sitting in the chair waiting for Herceptin and they have See's Candies. Normally I don't like chocolate but they sure looked good. So I had one. Now my tummy is reminding me why I don't like chocolate

I've got on the show right now even though I should be working on lesson plans. You are a bad influence, Eileen! - lol!

SpecialK - I hope things went well with your surgery and there are no complications.

Karen - I think you have a great outlook on all of this and will sail calmly right to Tuesday.

I love the idea of sharing positives. My positive is that I finally feel the pendulum has swung toward feeling good most days. Fatigue doesn't strike as often and I feel like I am finally feeling stronger thanks to the cancer rehab exercise classes I have been taking.

    good morning, March lovelies!

We are having major weather here. It's dark and rainy and windy and flooding.

I canceled my bone scan as I can't see to drive when it's like this. I think it's going to have to wait until after my cataract surgeries. I was freaking out trying to decide. Now I'm going to continue to try to get those liver enzymes under control and just survive for a few weeks. I figure it's probably not mets, but if it is, I don't really see how the treatment plan would change. If it would, a few weeks isn't going to matter. Was hyperventilating. This just blows.

Bekah- I hope the H goes easy for you today. No SEs! Thinking of how sick you must be of that chair.

Thanks sloth for your support and advice. I've chosen the pugalier as apparently it doesn't have the same breathing problems. The nose is a little longer. My problem is I'm such a suckered I couldn't leave it behind even if it did have issues 😕 I'm doing a road trip to Victoria this arvo. Ill let you all know later. My sister is going with me. It's a 6-7 hour drive.

Katy. My heart is breaking for you. Is there anything I can do to help? I wish I was close enough to drive you or at least be a support. Xxx

This may sound silly, but I remember putting your LMAD episode into my phone when we were all sick and struggling through chemo, Eileen. I remember seeing the pic you took and admiring your courage and strength to go be on national TV as bald and awful as you felt. (I didn't even want to go the store!!!)

I remember wondering where I'd be in December. Would I be done with radiation? How bad would surgery have been? Would I have hair yet?

Seeing your smiling face on my TV was the highlight of my day. It was a huge milestone whether you knew it or not.

I'm loving the "all clears" coming in today. It feels so good to start rounding the corner and marking the last stretch of treatments. You all mean so much to me!

My liver enzymes are good. Tumor markers are good. Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D are good. Still anemic and my ferritin is still low but I'm happy with good tumor markers! Vitamin B1 and B6 are still pending. I have all the vitamins checked because I've had gastric bypass surgery so I have to check them once a year.

My cholesterol went up like 50 points though. I haven't had cholesterol over 150 ever and it was almost 200! Is that from the Tamoxifien? Anyone know?

Anyway...nothing surprising on the labs so that's a good thing!

Got a call from MO office today. They are changing me to an AI and said it may cause some bone and joint pain but many women say if the can just "tough it out for awhile it eventually evens out." Told them they can wait until after Christmas to call in the pharmacy.. Really? For only 25% ERPR positive? I'll give it a try.

I'm happy Rita Wilson had a successful mastectomy after being diagnosed with LCIS but headline proclaiming she "Won Her Battle Over Cancer" and she is now "Cancer Free" does that bristle anyone else??? Maybe I'm just upset that she didn't have to go through chemo, radiation or hormone therapy. I'm in a grumpy mood tonight

I'm loving hearing so much good news today! Lots of good results coming in and a little pink pig winning some money!

I seem to be having a relapse of neuropathy in my hands. Has anyone heard of this happening? I haven't had a problem with it since a month or two after chemo was over and now it is back.
