I am looking to work with a naturopathic oncologist or a well known holistic doctor who specializes in BC. I will be doing radiation, but want to compliment the traditional treatment. Anywhere in the USA or Canada would be fine.

Thank you!

    Hi redazalea,

Here's a list of doctors who are Fellows of the American Board of Naturopathic Oncology (FABNO). http://www.fabno.org/index.html

I'm seeing Dr. Leanna Standish, who is head of Integrative Oncology at Bastyr University, which is in the Seattle area. I've seen her at the Bastyr Clinic in Seattle. She's really good, and does a lot of research in collaboration with the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance (which does conventional treatment). She's pretty booked, though. Seems like a lot of the naturopathic oncologists out here are (I tried to see a couple, and they had a few months wait for the first appt.) Good luck in your search!

Just chiming in! This is a great thread by the way, we need more resources for integrative oncology.

When I was diagnosed I knew I wanted to seek out a ND as well as a highly skilled MD.

Dr. Renee Lang ND, FABNO, MPH was the ONLY ND who specialized in integrative oncology in my state that had a private office. Many of the ND's who specialize in integrative oncology work at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in PA ( a place I cannot afford) She worked at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Philadelphia for some time too, but opened a small practice in the suburbs.

I was unable to get services from her in Sept 15 due to time and $$ but I corresponded with her through email. I plan to have my first consultation with her via Skype soon.

She has since moved to Maine and now works at a Complimentary Medical center. I"m assuming she is able to practice fully in that state as an ND since the laws and policies are in favor of ND's in general in Maine. She takes patients outside of Maine as well.

Just thought I'd briefly mention that I know an ND who does not practice in her home state beause that state does not license naturopaths. She say, "I won't practice medicine without a license." Maybe licensing is important to you, perhaps not, but if the state does not offer licensing, you might want to look a little more deeply at credentials.
