My tumor marker is high

hi every one

This is the first time for me to write her

I'm very worried about my tumor marker ca 15.3 it is about 43. It is mild high

Is that mean that l have cancer again ?

I'm about 2 years surviving. I will do pet scan next Sunday

Till then lam very afraid of being ill again

    Tumor markers are unreliable...my onco won't run them.

    Are you having any symptoms? Best to you.

    My docs at a major NYC teaching hospital also believe tumor markers are unreliable and dint use them!

    Thanks for your reply. I did my pet scan and it showed that I have bone mets. It is still small .my oncologist gave me another treatment

    Dalia, I am so sorry.

    how long have you had breast cancer?

    I don't pray, but I will keep you in my thoughts and hope you are fortunate to have great doctors. Some oral meds are very good at keeping things in check.

    Did they biopsy the "lesion" after your scan? Some people have degenerative bones or inflammation that looks like a met but is not.

    Thanks for reply.I saw my oncologist yesterday. He told me that I will have femara&zometa for at least 6 weeks then we will do tumor marker again to see if we are one the right way.

    I had breast cancer in April 2013 and I did a Sergey then had kimo then radiotherapy and tamoxifen for 2 years &zoladex
