Calgary or Red Deer Doctors???
My friend got cancer for the second time 2 1/2 yrs ago. She asked for a double mastectomy. Her doc would only remove 1. He also will not do reconstruction. In order for her to try to find another Dr to do propholactic mastectomy she needs the name of a Dr to be referred to. So if you are from the Calgary or Red Deer area & had a kind Dr. who was willing to do a double mastectomy for you, could you please give me their name so I can pass it onto my friend. She is really miserable & I feel her Dr. is an idiot. Thanks ladies.

I had Dr Gwen Hollaar in Calgary three years ago.
She preformed a bmx with no questions. Then I had tissue expanders placed with Dr Beverage a year after finishing treatment and it was a success even though I had radiation. I just had my exchange surgery and it went pretty good with the exception of an infection that was treated
Anyway I would recommend both of these doctors.
Good luck to your friend.
If she needs any more info I would be happy to talk to her.
Thanks

hello Ladies and thank you!
What 70Charger forgot to add is that I am about 50lbs + over weight. But am healthy and have never been a 32 BMI since I was about 12 yrs old. Okay I am fibbing. I was 98 lbs soaking wet when met my husband but had thyroid surgery because was majorly over active. So my problem is that without a BMI of 32 and my right breast is healthy my surgeon thinks it is not good to remove healthy tissue.
My problem results in the left was removed ans baaically scraped to chest bone + 29 Lymph Nodes. Now bra(S) will not sit proper and slide to center of chest and I ens up looking like the Unicorn with 1 instead of 2. I am normally heavy cheated and have tried numerous bras, camisoles and even the beanie boob. I have to constantly readjust myself and its not always a great time to do so. It is impossible to wear anything other then baggy tops and even then its like I am always adjusting myself. So that is why I want a double. My quality of life sucks with having to conatantly adjust myself.
I know I am not the only one with this issue, it just sucks sometimes! 👍
Thanks 😉😀

I think it is ridiculous that you cannot have the other removed! No matter what your size is it should be your decision. 50lbs and a 32 bmi is not that bad and it all depends on you body type, not some stupid number on a scale or chart.
Anyway, if you are close to Calgary, I would highly recommend Compassionate Beauty. They have helped me out with everything I need onthis crazy journey. Every time I have had a problem , they have had a solution. They are amazing and very professional and kind.
Good luck to you!!

Thanks mods. Should be in touch with Ratrod this week to see how she has made out. I think it is horrible how this Doctor has not listened from the beginning.
