    Hello everyone -

Steph, glad the surgery went well and you like your new boobs :) Too bad about your oophrectomy pain...I have been feeling great since mine. For a few days afterwards my pain was mostly gas pain - but that's gone now. I have decided that my superpower is my ability to recover quickly from surgery. I am sure you will be feeling much better in a day or two.

I too am thankful for everyone here - this group has helped me so much over the past few months. It is so reassuring to know that others are going through the same crap. I don't know anyone else in "real life" who has had a bilateral mastectomy. People feel sorry for me! I think it's ridiculous. You all get it. And I can vent no matter the time of day...like now, 3:30 am - when insomnia hits.

Anyway, I value you all and wish you nothing but future health and happiness 💜

    Andrea

Steph gorgeous cute kids! Hope you mend fast.

Andrea glad to hear you are healing.

It's been a rough year or more, and some of us worse than others. But so much to be grateful for. Hope everyone's Thanksgiving was filling and tasty. So glad I have my taste back!!!

I'm enjoying my new kitty grand baby, Stevie. My 22yr old son adopted this cute boy. We are in love. And so happy my hair is coming. Very gray, fine but coming.

Awww Renee! What a cute grandcat! He looks just like my Mia, who won't pose for photos. And your hair! Wow. It doesn't look even slightly chemo. It looks totally normal!

Renee- both you and kitty are GORGEOUS in that photo.

My kitty brought me a prezzie today. Poor little birdie was still alive. I managed to save it and it later flew away on its own. My little monster looks so sweet, but her blood runs cold.

I'm also thankful for you ladies...the cancer nightmare would be incredibly lonely and scary without this group! I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving....and survived Black Friday. Did any of you get out in the madness? I didn't this year but normally do.

Steph, I hope the pain has subsided and you're feeling better!

Renee: sweet picture of you and your grand-kitty! Stevie is really a pretty baby! Your hair is growing like mad, woohoo!!

ksusan: Your cat is so funny,......looks like its devoured the contents of the young turkey box. lol \

I posted this in March too..... (For anyone not on Facebook)...... I found a lump at the incision from my exchange surgery. I found it a week ago but hoped it was just inflammation from rads. I ignored it for a week and hoped would go away. It is more prominent now so I messaged the surgeon. They can't get me in until next Wednesday. Ugh. I am hoping it is just scar tissue. My body likes to make scar tissue. But my body likes to make cancer too. In my 2014 Christmas letter, I had just finished all reconstruction, so my last line of the letter was that my goal for 2015 was to stay out of the OR. I did not even make it past January. My year started with a cancer diagnosis and I am scared to death it'll end with one too. I hate this.

Kbeee, that's terrifying. I'm so sorry. Anything we can do to intimidate your medical team to get you in sooner?

Karen- I'm sure you are scared. It is not fair that you are threatened this way. I am very sorry this thought even has to cross your mind. I know all of your March and April sisters are right there in your pocket if you check. 💞💞💞

Karen, I hope it's nothing and I send you psychic Xanax until your appointment.

I have my last appointment with my surgeon tomorrow. He's retiring. I'll see my RO later in the month for the last time, too. I guess that signals the end of acute care.

Oh, hey Katy! It's dark here in kbeees pocket! Looks like we are all in here for the long haul, until her apointment! I vote we move base camp off the ledge and temporarily set up here. Let's see. We already have a tent, smores, and whiskey. We definitely need jack and tutti to keep the monsters away! Anyone play the accordion? Come one and all, sisters! Let's move in to Karens pocket until she gets her results back. Kbee, we will be real careful not to set your pocket lint on fire, promise.

Kbee... What do you say to the person who is always making others feel calm and talking us down??? I am here with everyone else...sending positive vibes out into the universe for some good old fashioned boring scar tissue and for your Dr. to get you into the office sooner than next Wednesday.

Thanks for the support ladies! I am hoping it's just scar tissue. Of course, I was told scar tissue last time and insisted on a biopsy and found out they were wrong, so even if I'm told scar tissue, it won't calm my fears until I know for sure. Last time it was the PS who was open to doing a biopsy when I asked for it. The BS is a little more opinionated, so we'll see what he's open to. My plan this week was to work on my Christmas letter, but I cannot even bring myself to do that since I jinxed myself so badly last year. I did send a message asking if there's a cancellation, to move me into it. I know they won't though. The doc would, but his nurse rules the schedule and she is heartless and does not let anything disrupt her beloved schedule.

ksusan, I hope your appointment goes well.

    Good day all...

Karen, sending positive vibes your way! You are due for some good luck, but I totally get why you're worried. My body likes making tumours too. I have so much scar tissue now...hard to tell what's a lump and what's not.

December already! Time to think about Christmas and not that other C word!

I am still not driving after my surgery, although I am sure I could. Lots of time to start on my Christmas cards though...

Andrea, I hope you are able to drive soon. I agree about wanting to turn attention to the other big C...Christmas!

I got a decent night sleep last night after not sleeping much for a few nights so I am feeling a bit better today. I have worked a lot of hours this week which is a nice distraction. I am holding onto the fact that this is my 4th lump and my gut was spot on the first 3 times (2013...gut said cancer...it was. 2014, gut said not cancer, but would hide a later cancer...it wasn't and it did, 2015 gut said cancer...it was.). My initial gut reaction this time was scar tissue. My mind is playing games so I don't know what my gut tells me anymore, but I am trying to hold onto my initial reaction!!! Thankfully, my week is going fast and it will only get busier. I suggested this to the March group too.....I think we need to have a virtual New Year's party and all burn out 2015 calendars at midnight and post pictures.

Dizz, I hope your hair grows quickly. Luckily hat season is upon us and when it is over, we should all have decent hair.

Ksusan, I wish my lump would follow the lead of yours and go away!!!!!

Jen, I am hoping my initial gut reaction is right. My gut keeps telling me darker and darker things these days... Fear talking. My logical brain and my fearful brain have been arguing a lot lately!!!!!!!
