SlowDeepBreaths try the blue kongs they are made for police dogs last alot longer than the black ones.
duckyb1 Are you doing any fitness exercise after the surgery? My labrador has a partial torn anterior cruciate ligament too, and my vet gave me book that talks about exercises after surgery. We are not doing surgery on him, but he can't do stairs and is confide to movement for 8 weeks.
I know it is getting cold outside so make sure your pets are still getting freeze water. We did add a new puppy to our doggie family of 8. I have never purchased a dog, but life works in funny ways. We weren't ready for a puppy either. Here is Blitzkrieg he is training to be a Human Remains Detection Dog (HRD) dog. It is fun training him. He is toy driven, so that he is keeping me on my toes with finding new toys or games for him to play. I told my hubby you survive cancer get a puppy. In the two months we had him he has travel to 10 different states.
-
He is adorable!!!!
-
oh my dog is he cute!!! Puppy breath. Ummmmm
-
Fairy..............she had the surgery....is doing well..........won't be able to have company until the 2nd week in January........this is to keep her from jumping and greeting which she loves to do..........she also is restricted on stairs and jumping off or getting on furniture.........so far so good.
This dog has been throught the grinder, and belive me she was not cheap....................her seizures are less frequent, and hoping they have found the right level that she need to keep them under control......it has taken a long time........but we can see the light at the end of the tunnel......the Neurologist is very dedicated to her care, and making it right...........

What a cute puppy - Does he need a playmate ;-) - Dozer is bored and I need to find a playmate for him - I did finally get a gentle lead for him and just putting it on for a few minutes at a time and give him treats - first time he stopped pulling but I think it is because the part over his muzzle is driving him nuts. He lets me put it on now though. So we will be walking on a leash soon I think. Anyway in this cold weather Dozer is hiding under my desk to stay warm.
-
So cute.........this is Adrian my great-grandog...
-
How adorable!!
I got roped into being Santa one year for the local humane society's Pet Pictures with Santa fundraiser. It was a lot of fun, but I was exhausted and sore by the end of the day - wrestling with rambunctious dogs to get them to pose is a challenge!!
-
Nat.....they are do cute.......and how about that great Santa....I said he looks like the real thing.........
Funny story....we had a Boston Terrier (one of many) who my daughter took to have a picture with Santa..........when she got there and got in line 99% of the dogs were being well behaved, and bothered no one......my daughter was not gone long when she came home......I said "let me see the picture".
Well her and her finance took Bossy.....his name...........she at the top of her lungs with fire in her eyes said "MOM THERE IS NO FRIGGIN PICTURE, AND THERE NEVER WILL BE..........HE WAS A FREAK.....DISRUPTED THE ENTIRE STORE....GOT ALL THE DOGS GONE NUTS............AND I HEARD SOUNDS COME OUT OF THIS CREATURE LIKE I HAVE NEVER HEARD IN MY LIFE..................AND MOM I'M 25 YEARS OLD...........
Then stomped out of the room......and Sean just looked at me as if to say "what just happened............LOL
-
LOL - believe me, I had a more than a few "Bossy" dogs in my line that day!!!
-
Nat......my daughter had 2 more dogs after Bossy..............a boxer named Rocky........and of course our Stella Bella.............none have had their picture taken..........LOL other then with a camera at home............LO
-
This is Rocky our wonderful Boxer, and of course you all know Stella...........
-
Ducky, he is a great Santa,,, and what an adorable boy Adrian is! Love the story about the Bossy,,, hahahahahaha
Rocky is so adorable with those glasses. How is Stella doing these days?
-
H:olding h;er own........the leg is healing well, and her seizures seem to be under better control............thanks for asking
-
Glennie the things my son-in-law did to that dog you can't imagine..........he had more crazy stuff put on him..........really funny.............he was such a sweet boy....loved him so much...I was there the night he died, and it was awful.......my SIL tried CPR............so sad........we knew he had a heart problem but never expected it when it happened.........he had just had a tiny piece of a glazed donut........at least he went out happy
-
Awwww,, poor boy. It's so awful when they go.
-
we are ready for the sn
