Another update consultant rang last week they want to do an MRI guided biopsy rather than take a wait and see approach just to be on the safe side. Should have an appointment through soon.
-
Hi everyone l had the biopsy done yesterday on the right boob. I get the results on the 29th of this month.
Just wanted to ask if any ladies have had a MRI vacuum assisted biopsy and was 18 samples normal? I was a bit shell shocked yesterday so didn't ask any questions as I hate needles...the doctor did say he had taken a large amount of breast tissue and I would be sore and bruised, it also took an hour to get the bleeding to stop.
Thanks x
Hi had -
Busymom2015, I have been thinking about you!
This is EXCELLENT news!! If its not malignant, than can they remove it, or are they wanting to let it rest if it isnt ? Im hoping for great results!
-
Wow Busymom18 samples is a lot. I had 18 tumors but they biopsied only 2 largest ones. They might have wanted to be extra thorough with you and sample all suspicious areas. Fingers crossed for benign results!
-
Hi inks I thought 18 was a lot too for a small suspicious area 😊, maybe consultant who did biopsy was being extra cautious. Thank you will keep you all posted x
18 tumors wow that must have been an emotional scary time. Hope you are well now xx
-
Hi all fabulous news it was a fibroadenoma and the consultant removed all of it whilst doing biopsy hence the large number of samples.
Hope you all have a wonderful new year and thank you for your support. x
-
Busymum, thanks for the update. It gives us hope when ladies actually have a benign result
-
Wow, so there was something there after all. You were quite sure of it! And now the darned thing is gone. I'm sure you are quite relieved to be rid of it, even if it was non cancerous. What an experience. Good for you for persevering. Best wishes to you in the new year. -
