Red oak coming into final fall color. Most other trees have come and gone with the color change and doing lots of raking this week!
-
OK this is hard for me to write as I feel on the outside a lot living elsewhere...........so a lot is different for me - but while I do understand that you feel under threat by ISIS, for us in Europe it is a reality.......it has happened more than once and refugees are being homed within one hour of me and we are all sure there are terrrorists amongst them as ISIS work like that......I don´t want to come across like its harder for me as am not saying that but it IS different as it IS a lot closer to home.......
Apart from that stuff I am feeling **** sorry I am bored with it too but its there...........I am a total failure at everything
-
Jazzy, lovely shade of red.
Lily, find comfort with pets while shutting out thoughts of ISIS.
So few thread members are now posting on this thread to give and receive support.
-
Teka- I agree about the thread slowing down. Some may be hermitting for the Thanksgiving holiday. Others may not be well enough to do anything this year.
We are here if you need us!
-
I was thinking more along the line of so few thread members to give Lily support about ISIS. I mostly now come to this thread for chitchat.
-
Yes, Teka you are right. Lilly and perhaps other friends here from the EU have many worries right now. We are here Lilly.

Teka......

Such beautiful blue eyes on a sour puss cat.

Dishes are one of my most hated chores here in the heat.

From a sister on another thread

THanks everyone - I don´t understand THanksgiving really as its followed by shopping frenzy for "must haves", seems wrong way round to me...
-
Sue- you definately scored on some goodies yesterday. I hope you enjoy the leftovers, some of the best part of this particular holiday!
Lilly- I agree about the whole Thanksgiving marketing scene here in the US. Many here were shopping yesterday (some stores now open ON Thanksgiving and it is called Grey Thursday), followed today by Black Friday, and few days from now we will have Cyber Monday. I can tell you many people don't get into the whole thing. My Xmas shopping was done early as it always is, I don't run around to stores this time of the year myself. Too many crazy people. The stores that are closed this year are called OptOutside and encouraging people to spend time outdoors! REI and Staples are two to name a few, and they normally have my business anyways, like them that much more now......

I went to the movies today and was pleased to see they had a Starbucks there for a drink choice. I would rather have a good cup of coffee than soda or something else carbonated.
-
Teka, LOL!

Jazzy,
*Hermits*
Our X-mas cards are in the mail.
Husband has setup the artificial X-mas tree and will be decorated by Family before the weekend.
Daughter chose the following 2015 Hallmark X-mas tree ornament.
Busy time with Family until New Year's Day!
-
Busy week with new contract arriving to get in place for new work. Xmas cards also getting done a few at a time.
Xmas wreath went up this Sunday. I like it without a bow on it. The greens are beautiful!
-
Beautiful!

Just to say I do think of you guys, I am not doing brilliantly right now, seriously rattled.........panicky, miserable, and feel a complete failure.......xx
-
Aw Lily, I'm right there with you. Keep hanging in there.
-
Hugs sisters. Holiday season is tough. Not my favorite either. Bring on January 1st please.
-
I'm with you too. 2015 has been a tough year. I just want to sleep until January 1st.
