All mammals are vertebrates, not all vertebrates are mammals.
Vertebrate means it has a spine.

Ok........to clarify further......................we will be looking for a vetebrate that is not a mammal, even though "all mammals are vetebrates"...............LOL......
I was great at science in school, so knew all that, but wanted to be sure I had it right............haha..........
