Hi all.. I dont want to be here but I hope this site is full of good info and something to think about.
Im a mother of 4 and the wife of a wonderful husband. With my direction he made Thanksgiving dinner(7) and it was very good. In 2009 I was dx with lung cancer. 1a Adenocarcinoma I had my right middle lobe removed and nodes. yeah me the cancer had not spread to them. So no other treatment (chemo, radiation) was neccesary. I went every 3. mos,6 mos yearly, for all my scans and xrays. No sign that the nasty beast came back. 2013 October came around and I thought hmm I have this little lump, maybe i should have it checked. With no insurancw I went to this program Every woman Matters Had a pap smear and mammogram. The pap smear showed thickening uterius and found a polyup on my cervix. Mammogram was uneventful the lady wanted to know if anyone else could feel the lump, no none but me. Did the mammogram and that was the end of that. October 2015 I recieved a mailing wanting me to donate to the Every woman matters program, since I utilized their services, and I thoight, hmm never heard back from them, dawning realization that little lump is now bigger and the breast looks dimpled. Now have insurance and made appointment for physical. At the end I said to my doc oh check my breast Laid down and she checked ir. The look on her face when she felt my "little lump" scared the crap out of me.. She scheduled a mammo, a diagnostic, utrasound.. She said I checked every box so they wouldnt have to call back for approval. Had all the tests done I now have Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Dx. Nov 3 2015 It is its own cancer did not come from the lung. The tumor 5cmx4cm is lafge so we are doing chemo in the hopes the tumor will shrink. Then a lumpectomy. Then radiation Then I will be on some sort of medicine because estrogen and progesteron were positive 98% and 99%. I started chemo Taxtere ans Cytoxin Nov 24. Today is the first day I feel normal. Also Neulasta, that kicked my butt. Took the Clariton first day ok but last night sucked had a temp of 101 and such bone pain I ended up taking 2 Tramadol it workedthatng God went to bed and slept all night long.

jdfly, glad you found this space, I have enjoyed the discussions here and learned a lot. You might want to make your diagnosis and treatment fields in your profile "public" so we can see what you are working through, it may help others add to your information base. Also, possibly join the "starting chemo in" group that feels right - November or December since you just started December may be the one that has people closest to your timeline (I started in late July and ended up joining the August group because I had a couple of delays and the July group was just way ahead of me, I now also participate in November because I started a second type of chemo in November and there a couple of people on that same regimen).

Dec 3,15 Im now 11 days from my first infusion. Talking with my mom yesterday, I finally realized that yes, I am poisoning my body. I now have a rash on my arms and hands, they are already drying out. I mix Argon oil in my creams, but wow. I m got thrush last week that turned into this weird thing called mucositis. A very nasty thing. These sores are all over my mouth and in my nose. Cant say for sure but what Ive read and how I feel, it may also be down there. Ewww just gross.Last night I noticed hair part is getting wider and some of the hair is starting to break off.Im so glad my mom doesnt have to go through this, but to be honest, if they recommended chemo, I think she would have told them no. Dont want to hurt her kidney. She s more scared of dialysis than breast cancer. Oh I forgot , the day I got mu wig before my chemo started, she got the call, this is dr so and so your biopsy came back positive, you have Invasive Endocrine carcinoma. Just unreal.
