Is this much pain normal?
I finished Herceptin October 23, 2015. While on chemo, I had neuropothy on my face, hands, and feet. It is all gone except in my toes. But all the other pain is driving me crazy. I have trouble getting up from a setting position. My feet does not want to work if I set too long. It takes me awhile to stand straight. I walk like I am 100 until I can loosen the joints. Forget stairs, ladders, or anything I need to climb. Takes all I have to get on the floor, more for me to get up off the floor. My ankles, knees, and hips feel like they are bruised. Like i was kicked in every joint. The one that scares me the most is my ribs just under the breast. It just comes and goes. When it comes, it takes my breath away. I have had chest x-rays 3 times but everything shows normal. This scares the HELL out of me. I am tired of people telling me I worry too much. Has anyone else had this much pain.? If so when does it go away? Is there any test I should have? I see my BS and MO next month. Any thing will help. Thanks.

I, too, have had significant pain since ending Herceptin/perjeta. Mine is in my neck and left shoulder. My left trapezius muscle feels clenched. I also have been having vertigo. Because of these symptoms, I had a brain mri and an mra of the head and neck, as well as a CT scan. Thank goodness, all normal.
It waxes and wanes in severity but is always there. I have been undergoing PT which helps some. I take Advil and alleve like it's candy.
It is a real drag, but as long as the scans are clear I try to stay calm! It's not easy. Perhaps you could ask for a scan- a clear result would give you peace of mind. Hope we both feel better soon

Thanks you so much. It means the world to me that there is someone else out there. I am not crazy. I am going to push that they look at this further. Hope it gets better for you.

I'm sorry you are dealing with this much pain. When did this pain start? Exactly when chemo did or before or sometime during treatment? I ask because the pain you describe, including the rib pain, is very similar to the pain I have with my rheumatoid arthritis. I would wonder if there is something not related to cancer/treatment going on? I certainly would discuss it with your MO, but if all appears clear on the cancer side of things I would suggest seeing your primary care doctor and a rheumatologist. Another thought is, are you on an AI or tamoxifen? Both can cause joint pain. I really hope you can get some answers and relief from your pain!

I'm still on H only every 3 weeks and was doing pretty good. But I started Tamoxifen last week and just started getting very achy. I'm hoping my body will stabilize and I'll find a new normal but for now I don't like these aches at all! I'm pretty sure it's the Tamox and not the H for me though

Unfortunately I believe it is the secret that we aren't supposed to know. I have had horrible joint pain in my legs and my sister in law has had it in her legs and shoulders

Thanks everyone. Did not think of Arthritis
.It started during chemo mainly with the Neulasta shot. But now it is getting worse. Can this treatment trigger other problems. I was DX with asthma. Pulmonologist said it was from my chemo meds,. damaged my lung limning.
Yes there are many thing we are not suppose to know.
Again thanks. Love that there is someone to talk to. Someone who understands my thoughts and fears. Someone who does not blow it off.
