So scared need suppport
Hi everyone.
I'm 35 years old and found a huge lump on my breast. I had a mammogram done a couple of years ago for a lump I had found then. It was benign. A week ago or so I was laying down and when I was massaging my breast I noticed there was a huge lump there. I don't know if it's the same lump from last time or a new one. I'm too scared to feel how big it is or for how many I have.
I've made a doctor's appointment but it's not till December 7th so I have to play the waiting game. Every day since I have found the lump I have been living in fear and randomly crying. I'm afraid it might be Breast Cancer. I noticed yesterday some slight swelling under my armpit area. It's not directly on my armpit but a bit under it. That is the same side that I found my lump. I have also begun to get some slight discomfort or pain on my arm area where the swelling is at. Kind of feels when you just have a shot and that sore discomfort feeling you get.
I am so scared everyone. Everything seems to be pointing to cancer. I was also a caffeine addict and have stopped drinking it because I hear lumps can grow because of it. I feel like the 7th will never come. It's horrible living with not knowing what's wrong. I admire you all who are struggling with breast cancer so much. It takes so much strenght and I'm truly in fear.

Blessedxoxo, there are many reasons for lumps. Most lumps are benign. We completely understand how waiting is the absolute worst, but encourage you to keep yourself from worrying too much! Please keep us posted. You'll get through this time!
We're here for you!

I feel for you, the waiting and not knowing is terrible. Is there any way you could get an earlier appointment, either privately or through the public system?

Dear BlessedXOXO:
The not knowing is the most difficult part of the ordeal. I am sending you positive wishes and hugs. Good luck. I would recommend calling around to different imaging centers to see if you can get an appointment that is sooner than 12/7/15.

Don’t worry about the caffeine--though it can contribute to fibrocystic (benign) lumps if you’re susceptible to them, it doesn’t cause cancer.

(((Hugs)))
The waiting is absolutely the worst part. Our minds come up with all sorts of horrible outcomes, it's not pretty.
I agree with the other ladies, see if you can get an earlier appointment. Otherwise, you'll be a complete mess by the 7th!
If you can't, you'll need to find some ways to calm down. Worrying is normal, but all that stress the worrying causes is not good. Not only that, but worrying isn't going to change anything. Try to keep yourself busy....spend time with some friends, binge watch some favorite T.V. shows, go for long walks outside....find things that you enjoy and do them!
Prayers for GOOD results!!
