Yes, it's snowman making snow - heavy and wet, sticks to the shovel. I hate this kind.

Cubbie, snow shovelling is absolutely exercise. I counted it for each of the last several winters. Now guess I have to find something comparable here in sunny FL! Did 4-miles with Leslie Sansone this morning (just could not make the 5th mile on her new DVD routine). Spent afternoon walking around through open houses. Looks like I'm going to be building - scary.

    Night sculpted friends.

Odie. . .kudos for getting out when you're so busy. Cheryl so sorry. Prayers. Two Hobbies. . .looks very cold brrr. We're going down in the 20s tomorrow night. Doesn't bode well for winter.

So finally got back to gym after crazy busy week when I worked 10 hrs a day and 15 yesterday. This only happens 3 times a year thank goodness. Two days of in late and out early and then 5 straight days on holiday. Okefenokee here I come.

What a pretty snow picture TH, it's still warm here but they say we are going to get rain for Thanksgiving. Enjoy your vacation Scottie. Patoo I'll bet you are laughing at the snow picture and I believe it was you who invented the term 'shovel and sculpt'

Went to Zumba last night and I have to say after just a couple of days off my knees were creaking and cracking and then right in the middle he threw in 100 squats and a 2 minute plank. This morning went to Body Combat then as I am busy at work went in to get a jump on the week and wouldn't you know it my inkjetting machine is dead as a dodo another curve ball to deal with, ah well......

I made a "to do" list for tomorrow and on the top of the list was "walking". I'm leaving Monday morning for my DD and SIL in Toronto as DD is having gyn surgery on Tuesday; i'm going for the week to give her some TLC. So I have a lot to get done tomorrow and want to be sure that I get my walking in.

I've also walked in the house around the kitchen, dining room and den to get enough steps in when I'm close. My husband laughed at me tonight when I told him I managed to get an average of 15K steps this week after a few slow days the beginning of the week...he says he's never counted steps!! of course he hasn't!!

Wishing everyone a good Sunday and good week. Happy Thanksgiving week to everyone. Tomorrow I'm making the stuffing and the pies. My husband will make the turkey and yams on Thursday...he's making Thanksgiving since I'll be gone...it will just be my DH, DS, my mother and my mother asked to bring a friend. Since the Canadian Thanksgiving is the 2nd Monday in October I won't be doing Thanksgiving this week...so tomorrow I'll have to sample the stuffing and a sliver of the pumpkin and pecan pie. I told my son I was only going to make one and he asked me to make both...so being the good mother that I am, I'll make both. Oh yeah, I also have to make the cranberries...better add it to my to do list. I bought a 13#+ turkey so there better be leftovers for me when I get home.

    Hugs to everyone from Denver...

Managed to get out today to one of our local museums for family photos for the annual holiday card. They have a festival of different country decorated trees each year so we get our choice of trees for photographs. Now at the gym for some treadmill time.

Y'all continue to amaze me at the level of exercise of this board. It keeps me going.

An hour of toning with Denise Austin. I SHOULD tromp around the house a little to get the rest of my points. We are the movers and the shakers!

Did Body Pump this morning, don't think I've done weights for two weeks so I have to say it was really hard, especially the chest and bicep tracks wow you really have to keep at it otherwise you lost it.

I now feel very virtuous as I spent the afternoon watching a movie and ironing everything in the ironing basket, was supposed to go wedding dress shopping with my goddaughter and her Mom but her photographer called so they went off to do their engagement photos instead.

I finished shoveling the second half of my driveway with the one arm/one foot method. It's great for strengthening your quads - or at least that's what's stiff and sore now. I'll be glad for warmer weather and getting back to the regular gym!

11/22- worked in the yard raking leaves, and then to the gym for 45 mins of resistance work out!

We all look forward to good eats this week (at least those of us in the US having Thanksgiving). Don't forget to keep exercising through the holiday season!

Yoga this morning. Passed my annual general physical this afternoon (always a WHEW feeling). All my numbers, scores, panels. body parts etc. etc. look good and I should 'plan to be around for a long time'. Yea! We talked about the absolute importance of exercise and eating right (despite of my behavior on vacations & holidays, I really do eat pretty healthy the rest of the time). And how mega doses of vitamins, supplements etc. etc. are not going to do it....no magic bullet......be active, eat well, keep the weight in the normal range.....

Off to Zumba to practice what I preach.

Once you get on the Fitbit craze it's a slippery slope. I have friends coming out of the Fitbit woodwork sending me challenges. Yikes! That said, at the gym running up my steps. Back to PT tomorrow and need to remember to eat healthy while away this weekend.

And prunes and gin raisins, Ruth. Congrats on the good check up.

Scottie one of our Chicago museums does the multi cultural trees too. I always enjoy seeing the different versions.

Yesterday I took a long walk in the snowy winter wonderland woods. It was gorgeous and peaceful but of course I left my phone at home so no pictures. Every branch was coated in snow.

I'm getting a cold courtesy of my husband so no exercise tonight

One hour water aerobics this morning. Got up and it was 48 outside, then rose to 54 when I left for the pool. Pool water temp was about 88 and there was no wind so class was on! It was about 72 an hour later. Leader says as long as outside temp is above 40 he will do the class. Not sure I can go that low .

Selected and purchased my lot today. Will customize the house in a few weeks and then building will begin for March move-in. Exciting and scary!

    Night sculpted friends.

mysunshine48, if we get together when you are here to close on yours next month I will show you. Amazing that I always thought 'why buy a house at this advanced age?' and here I am. But to live here is too expensive to rent so buy I must. Could have done pre-owned but building gives me the option to customize and increase the size a little to accommodate my sister better.

I am back from the conference and catching up with my life. Things such as eating, exercise, work, bills, and laundry. After a week away, a day at home was more than fine. San Antonio was great, and so was the conference. Lots of emerging therapies for cancer with the frontiers being genomic profiling, immunotherapy, and targeted therapies of all sorts. Plus, more refined imaging and surgical techniques.

I really felt the lack of exercise, although I did get in enough walking most days. Not to mention that it's difficult to get in enough vegetables. Did I mention the 7a meetings? YIKES!!!

The highlight was getting a hug from Valerie Harper. Her message (this is a brain cancer conference) is to educate yourself and live each day to the fullest. Her speech was just wonderful.

I found I had a lot of male attention when talking about cycling. Not to mention that the combination of toned legs and patterned hose got a lot of approving looks as well.

Also learned that I was about 5 years ahead of the curve in exercising throughout treatment. So a really good thing to do, if at all possible.

I have done my run plus crunches and weights today. Feel ever so much better. Got in a bit of food shopping....can't believe that Thanksgiving is Thursday.

So much to be thankful for. This includes my dinner of FRESH food.

AND.....drum roll please. My bone density is still in the NORMAL range!!!! More than thankful for that. - Claire

Congratulations Patoo, you are building a room for me right? Sounds like the conference was a good one Claire. Ruth congratulations on your good report.

Went to Cardio Dance Party tonight and today at work I unloaded a delivery of 46 boxes off a truck as my forklift is on the fritz, the poor delivery man at least20 years my junior I would guess couldn't help as he has a 'bad back'

Did 45 minutes on the track again tonight. I decided I've healed enough from my surgery to try to step things up a bit - for about 20 minutes in the middle of the session, I jogged on the back turn of each lap, about 1/4 of the track length. Boy, am I out of shape!

Ruthbru, glad to hear your checkup went well. And glad to hear that exercise and eating right helps. Anything we can throw at this!

Claire, great news about the bone density, and that's cool you got to meet Valerie Harper!

Ruth- congrats on the good check up!

Sorry hbcheryl but my brother will be ordering a nameplate for the spare bedroom. But, the lounge chair will forever have your name!

Sister left this morning for 2 weeks so should get in lots of workouts until then.

Only made it to half of my class this morning because I drove a friend to the clinic & back home again first (she had surgery last week, needed a recheck, but wasn't up to driving herself). I am going to Barre (not THE BAR) tonight.

11/24- took a nice evening walk for about 25 minutes. The full moon was rising up over the mountains here as they turned pink, and it was spectacular. I did not have my phone with me either. But often there are photographers here who catch those things better than I and may have something to share over the next few days.
