I smell like chemo...
I have always had a heightened sense of smell so I am not surprised, but would really like to get rid of this se- Day 6 and I still am releasing chemo odor. I am washing blankets, using oils, eating lemon slices, flushing twice and ready to exfoliate in garlic Vicks under my nose was helpful last night.
I know this isn't the worst se, just tired of smelling sick and don't look forward to 20 weeks of this. Any suggestions?

I hated the smell. It really bothered me until around day 7/8 on AC. Since switching to Taxol it seems much improved. I still smell it a bit, but not as strong and passes sooner. Fingers crossed it gets better for you, too.

I was on TC and don't recall having a chemo smell, but be sure to stay hydrated and get it out of your system! I made myself drink a LOT of water...not sure if it helps, but can't hurt!

I didn't have this issue with carbo/taxol but now on FEC it is really bothering me. I have been doing the same, washing bedding, new PJs every night, drinking water and stuff like crazy to stay hydrated to try to get it it out but it is gross. I have a blanket on the back of the chair I sit in to watch TV and that even smells funky. It's a weird smell, reminds me of like when you eat asparagus and your pee smells weird but it's just emanating. I have always had a really sensitive sense of smell which is now heightened in general and this is driving me crazy. Any more ideas? Anyone else having this?

I completed chemo August 17, 2015. Each chemo week I smelled like raw onions.

My final chemo was in December 2014, and I don't remember smelling like chemo. But, I still hate the smell of chemo. I've been doing Herceptin only since February 2015, and every time I go to the infusion center, I smell the chemo and it makes my stomach turn.

I'm on Herceptin and Perjeta every 3 weeks...this is my 15 th month. I always smell the stuff after infusion very strong the first week especially. I drink an enormous amount of water. Very strong in urine and as they say...my special place. Lol ....I also have flushed cheeks in the evening and usually get 2-3 little pimple looking things on my arms that go away just in time for next infusion.

i was advised to drink plenty of fluids so as to flush it through so i keep a jug and a sport bottle by me to get throughout my day xx

The smell went away day 8 post infusion- just a small whiff of it every once in a while. 2nd infusion will be tomorrow- fingers crossed it stays away... continuing to drink lots.
