I got called back for more imaging yesterday(appointment isn't until December 1st). My BiRad is was zero. Mammogram showed subtle nodular asymmetry in the right breast.

Ultrasound showed lobulated hypeochoic nodular structure measuring 1.7 x 0.7 x 0.8 cm. any thoughts? Thank you. I'm a basket case right now

I'm kinda new, and am just catching up with the lingo... However I think w Birad score of zero is a good thing. I know it seems impossible not to worry, but hopefully you find a way to distract yourself. I found wine and reality TV work really well.

Foodiemom, sadly, most of us are not docs, but your Birad indicates that they need more imaging to determine if there is a concern, not that there is one at this point. Is this the first time that you have had a "call back" for a Mammo and US? If not, focus on your past experiences and if it is the first call back, know that it is not abnormal for women to get call backs, especially if they have dense breasts...or busy breasts with a lot of benign things going on.

You're right, the waiting is so hard. Have you tried to contact your imaging center to get an earlier appointment so you don't have to wait so long?? If so and this is the earliest appointment available, then my best advice is 1) Get busy and do things that make you tired. I am fond of productive things, like cleaning, organizing, creating donation bins, cleaning out closets, etc. and 2) focus on the upcoming test as a good thing....that if there is something wrong, you will know and then you can deal with it. And try hard not to use Google to interpret your preliminary tests.

    Good luck and hugs! MsP

Thank you. I had a core biopsy yesterday. The radiologist told me after it was over he was pretty sure if was a fibroadenoma and they were just being super cautious. Fingers crossed the results say that too
