My mri guided biopsy came back as stromal fibrosis and fibroadenomatoid changes. Does anyone know if this could cause inflammation , orange de peau and skin color changes? I'm waiting for a dr appt to discuss this with her. I'm just wondering if it isn't related, if I should pursue the skin biopsy to rule out IBC. I'm definitely relieved but still need answers. Thanks in advance for any help on this.

Hi there, a few months ago I noticed a red spot above my nipple on my good breast (my non ILC lumpectomy breast). I was really worried because it wasn't a bite or spot or anything, just a red circle about the size of a quarter. After a couple of days it turned into a bruise. I contacted my Breast Care Team and they did a biopsy "just in case". I can also feel something under the skin similar to what I felt on my ILC lumpectomy breast. The results came back saying it was just fibrocystic changes in my breast. That lumpy bit is still there though so I will be showing my Oncologists when I visit them next. Not sure if I completely trust those results so will just be monitoring this situation. You definitely have to be proactive, as I have heard stories about other people being told they had fibroadenoma only for it to be something sinister. I would trust your gut, maybe get a second opinion for peace of mind. Good luck!

I had this diagnosis via biopsy, but no skin related changes!
