Thanks ladies. I love the boy and the drum. Makes me miss my band students. I am SOOOOOOOOOO excited. I have wanted to get a good shot of a hawk for a very long time. Today I came home and was putting some things down in the kitchen. I still had my coat on. I saw this hawk perched on my heated bird bath. He stayed there for a very long time. I grabbed my camera with my coat still on and shot away. Here are a couple. BTW My cat is doing great. So relieved.

Bandwoman. . .gorgeous hawk!
Hiked with dd at local state park so that I could photograph her yesterday. Shhhh don't tell her boyfriend but here is the collage I made from her photo shoot. It's a Christmas present for bf. I plan to have it printed on canvas after I finish retouches.

Thanks Scottie.
Beautiful daughter and beautiful collage. I am sure her boyfriend will be very pleased at the gift. Have you had a chance to play around with your new astronomy device?
-
Scottie, what company do you use for canvas printing?
-
I had this one done, but not the wrap around kind
-
Then these are the wrap around.
-
Lisa. . .I use Sam's Club for all of my photography printing and gifts. I have used others in the past, including Costco and Ritz but found that Sam's is less expensive and faster for mail order items. I have a couple of canvas prints from Sam's.
Bandwoman. . .we have had only one clear night this month and I was too exhausted from work so we have not taken the telescope out yet. After Thanksgiving I hope. Dd got a job (been looking for months) and she will have to work Thanksgiving weekend. I was concerned about staying in the Okefenokee with no cell phone service and her staying here alone, so I found us a suite in a hotel 30 miles from the park where we can stay in touch with her and still daytrip to the Okefenokee. That ruins astronomy night there though. Oh well, eventually.

-
scottie, that is ironic. My brother is Vice-president of the company that does Sam's Club canvas printing.
-
LOL Lisa. . .Dh and I practically live at Sam's. We buy, tires, furniture, most electronics and business supplies, clothes, food and custom cakes as well as using their eye glasses lab, photo lab and pharmacy.
Scottie
-
his company is just contracted by Sam's.
-
Lisa . . . Still, it's a small world. I have got to finish editing dd's collage and send it for printing. She won't be happy with me if we don't get it back in time to send to bf. . .
So this Thursday I'm off on my vacation to South GA with day tripping to Okefenokee. Very excited and totally have nothing ready.

I am sure glad both you and your DH take your cameras along..they let us see wonder.
-
Lovely pictures Lisa and mumito. Pixs from my Okefenokee trip today.
-
beautiful Owl shot.
-
we are still missing Brazil and Bolivia in order to finish our SouthAmerica tour.
-
Hi ladies,
Loving all the beautiful scenes. Awesome water falls Mumito. Lisa, envious of those ocean scenes. How's the arm doing?
Loving the owl Scottie. That is on my wish list to photograph. To catch one during the day is a treat. I haven't had to much chance to shoot. Dealing with lots of medical issues. I did get some shots from my dining room in the last couple of months. The hawk made it into the paper before Thanksgiving so that was fun.

This was Miramar National Cemetery today after the Wreaths Across America were placed there yesterday.
-
We had a nice brunch at the Del Coronado today...beautiful but I forgot to take a picture of the beach...
-
Lovely Lisa. My mum went there for a conference years ago. It's on my list.
