Scottie, great pictures. My niece and nephew had a collage of photos of the two of them made for my niece's senior year photos, and it's one of those keepsakes you have forever.
I'm counting the hour and a half I spent helping sweep and bag leaves today.
-
Great pictures, Scottie!
Jersey, one of my friends is a German teacher & she took a group of high school students to Germany for the three weeks between her last two Herception infusions!!!!!
Did more' Motherly Moving Duties'. Helped DS really clean his old apartment & then spent the rest of the day cleaning his new house. YUCK! I hate cleaning & have been slathering moisturizer on my poor hands ever since I got home. It was really nice out so I did sneak in a quick walk & am now going to FORCE myself to go downstairs & do about a half hour upper body workout before I crash.
-
Nothing today.
Ginger - not in love with the CPAP yet but I think I'm sleeping better. Still sensing a bit of apnea so need to talk to the oxygen place and have them bump up the pressure to the next notch. I'm currently at the lowest end of what my sleep doc recommended. They can do everything remotely.
Night all

11/14- thanks to all of you for your kind thoughts of family. May Paris and the country of France find it's way to heal and go forward.
Did 45 min of resistance training at the gym today.
-
I am off to San Antonio for a week, so think exercise will be scarce. The group I am with don't do things like walk. Perhaps I can sneak in the gym. Hoping I can squeeze in a bit of something. Will be manning our table at the Society for Neuro Oncology conference. So very exciting to see what some of the best minds are up to.
I will be doing some airport walking today as going in via public transport. Got in a run yesterday. Bicycle is in the shop. I need a new cassette and chain, and great news is that the old cassette can't be exactly replaced. The replacement will have different gearing which will give me an extra low gear for hills!!! I have always had to work harder than everyone else, as I lacked the really low gear.
I am thinking about new skis too. Looked at them yesterday and a new set of what I need (lightweight, edges, boots with support) is $400.
I may not be using the bicycle for a while, based on temps around here. Skiing for Thanksgiving????
Catch up with everyone in a week. - Claire

Five mile hike on the Catoctin Trail in Maryland on Sunday. At one point the trail kept crossing and re-crossing this pretty little stream. I finally had to stop and take a picture.
So sad to think of what happened in Paris. It's brings back a lot of painful memories of 9/11 here in the US.
-
A lot of house cleaning today, but hope to get a walk outside later when it cools off. This month is making records of being exceptionly hot in Florida. It usually is a little cooler by now. I am going to north Florida for 10 days over Thanksgiving, and looking forward to lots of walks with my daughter.
Happy Monday!
-
Just a short walk while having my car serviced this morning. May hop on treadmill later. Brother not being able to do much with bum shoulder/arm and sister having back issues (she needs more exercise!) has cramped my exercise this past week but MO says make sure get it in so will just need to leave everyone behind if they can't keep up and go it on my own. Otherwise I will get grumpy and that is not pretty.

Week 3 Day 1 of C25K for me today
-
Scottiemom, your daughter is beautiful, wonderful pictures, and such a thoughtful gift!!!
Ruth, great concert!
Patoo, enjoy every minute with your brother and sister!! I am sure you are!!
Been walking and climbing stairs!!
-
Lovely pix Mary.
I am sooo looking forward to hiking in the Okefenokee next week. Dd just got a new job (her first) so she's going to have to work next week and won't be able to join us. Also I lost sleep thinking about her staying here alone while we were at a cabin with little to no cell coverage (unplugging was the whole point). So I booked a suite about 30 miles from the swamp where dh and I and 13yo will have all the amenities and still be able to daytrip to the swamp. Oh well, maybe a cabin next year.
At the gym trying to regain 4th place in my work Fitbit group.

JerseyGirl- I'm on herceptin only now and have no noticable SE other than itchy shoulders. Energy level is high!
-
Fitbit is awesome - last year I was riding my bike to work every day and my fitbit came off my wrist. I was crying on FB (I know y'all can't imagine that!) and someone said to contact FB, that they'd replace it. Yup. If you lose your Fitbit, they'll replace it. My dog chomped the little battery thingy, I'm wondering if they'll still replace it. Getting the 10k in, and then being about to work up past that feels so good! Once I can get around again, I'm either getting a new one or replacing the old one.
Y'all are so motivating. I'm walking the dogs twice a day. I'm *still* sore and hurting from that MRI guided biopsy and I just don't complain about pain too much. I actually listened and didn't dive into anything. I figured if I waited this long, I could just start from negative zero instead of zero. That way when I run a marathon it will mean that much more.
-
Zumba & yoga. Both very fun.
Patoo, as we were leaving yoga tonight my friend was complaining about missing on Wednesday because she has to go to a big, fancy banquet with her husband. We decided that we are hooked on exercise if we'd rather workout than do other fun things, and you must be too if you get cranky when you have to cut back. It is definitely a good addiction!!!
-
Hang in there, Patoo! When I get there, I will be your exercise partner!
-
Walked 45 minutes at the Y today. Scenery was not as good as yours, NatsFan, although there were a couple of guys there who were pretty scenic.
-
Behind on my steps yesterday and today...on 13+K both days. Started to walk this evening but it was raining....so cut walk short....had a meeting to go to but didn't get home till 9:30 so not up to walking. The rain has turned to snow. Denver has a blizzard warning...hoping for a snow day tomorrow....but will get up early in case I'm not so lucky and will get my walk in...Need to make up for lost steps the next few days....
Next week I'll be in Toronto with my daughter as she is having surgery...Usually I can walk when I'm visiting so hopefully she will be feeling well enough for me to walk and she can walk with me. If not, I'll walk alone as long as she is okay
-
Had a great time in Seattle, it rained the entire time I was there and it felt wonderful. Saturday was a wonderful experience a day filled with like minded exercise people, did Sprint the new LM bike class, it was fantastic kind of a HITT program on a bike, Body Vive, Body Step, Sh'bam, Body Jam and Body Combat, lots of time to recover between classes and af the end of the day I soaked in a nice hot bath so not sore at all yesterday. Yesterday airport walking was my exercise and tonight went to Cardio Dance Party.
Patoo people know not to bother asking me to do things throughout the week I'd rather go to the gym than go out to dinner or go watch the debates.
-
ThePrincess, thanks for your reply about Herceptin. I have a ton more energy with the last infusion of Herceptin and Perjeta, so I am hoping that even more energy returns with Herceptin only on Nov. 30th. Especially since I got my confirmation date for surgery... December 7th is BMX day! I've been walking, and doing normal mom stuff sine my last infusion.... Feels great to get out and exercise and get fresh air! Can't wait until the healing begins from surgery so I can really start to get back to where I need to be physically.
Again, so thankful for all of you out here!
-
Cubbie - LOL on the scenic guys at the gym! Cheryl - rain must have been a different experience for you! Karen - hope your daughter's recovery is smooth and easy. Jersey - it's great to start to feel better, isn't it? Glad you got your surgery date - now you can plan your schedule.
Half hour dawn run this morning.
-
Cheryl, hope to get to that point before long. Brother left this morning so now only have to get in the mindset to not let my sister derail me. We only have one car (she "loaned" hers to her DD) so if I go to do an activity, other than the nearby pool or ride my bike, she is stranded. She will be away Nov 22-Dec 8 so I will get some kind of a schedule going and she will need to fit herself into it when she gets back. It will work out eventually as these are just new lifestyle challenges for us.
Exercise today was just vacuuming and steam cleaning floors. Still need to do laundry but have a meeting later.
Night sculpted friends.
-
Cardio Sculpt this morning. I have a meeting tonight so will have to miss Barre .
There is a cold, icy rain coming down & it's windy, so I am not particularly looking forward for an outside walk tomorrow morning (we don't want to go in until we HAVE to because it will be months & months of inside walking once we do).
-
Yipee! Over 11,000 steps today!
-
Great work mysunshine48.
-
Did 45 minutes of walking at the Y tonight.
Ruth, how do you like Barre classes? I took ballet many years ago, so barre sounds interesting to me. I'd have to join an actual exercise studio to take classes, though, so I'm a little hesitant to try it since it would be kind of expensive.
-
Ruth yesterday we had howling cold wind so I guess it's moved off to you. Patoo my friend from Tennessee spent a winter down there and they had the same problem, when she would go off to work her partner was left stranded and all he had was a bicycle. Jerseygirl glad to know you've got your surgery date in place. Great job on your steps mysunshine.
Did Body Jam tonight. -
Dusted off my old Power90 DVD and did the "Sculpt" weights/strength workout. I've been so focused on running the last few months that I've really let my strength training go, so my goal is to get back to it at least once or twice a week.
-
Mary, I too need to add strength. Cheryl, glad you enjoyed your time in Seattle doing so much LM - you go girl. I'm attending a quarterly this Friday at Kent Uni for bb/flow. JerseyGirl2, love your attitude and TwoHobbies, I'm sorry you have had a recent loss of two friends. Ginger, you amaze me, keep up your runs and taking care of MIL, plus teaching - wow. Annie, how you are doing? S&S, you go girl on the C25K training!
This morning, Vi box as a participant and afterwards, shadowed for an instructor who was injured. She talked, I did the advanced moves. Sue has helped me a great deal - was there for me during my active tx, and this is the least I can do for her.
-
OK - Lilac - I'll challenge you. Each of us has to do strength training at least once a week between now and the end of the year. We'll report in here. Game on??
-
All bundled up for a brisk walk!
