    Momand2!

We all know that feeling before the screening and then the relief getting a good result. So.....we're pulling for you! When I march up for my exam, no matter what type, I am more interested in making sure that the examination is thorough...don't even mind call backs really for a sono, etc. When I get the all clear, it is a celebration for our whole family. I will start blowing up the ballons for you momand2!!!

all done--isn't it funny, even after all these years I try to read the tech's expressions or interpret their words.... crazy, I know. I stopped into the chapel at Dana Farber where I used to go before each treatment. It felt very peaceful and serene. I figure with a mammogram 6 months ago, several clinical exams-- really, it would be hard to imagine anything happening. But you are right, the call/letter is always a relief!!

    thanks for the balloons!!!!

    Dear Momand2kids:

    That is wonderful news.  Congratulations.

I have my follow up mammogram, sonogram, and MRI on Monday, 11/23/15.  I am currently on a 6 month wait and watch protocol for a 1.8cm linear non-mass enhancement with rapid washin washout kinetics and I have a golf ball size hematoma from an MRI guided biopsy in May 2015.  I cannot wait until Monday.  I am sure that I am fine, however, the tests will give me extraordinary peace of mind no matter what the outcome.  This has bee a stressful and long 6 months for me.

614, you are in my prayers. I agree with you that despite the anxiety of screening, being monitored and knowing what is going on is worth it. Have some fun this weekend and think good, happy thoughts.

    Love, MsP

Thanks so much everyone.   I really appreciate it.

I am very stressed today.  I found out that my 16 year old son's really good friend who played in the school basketball game last night (he is the star player), and then went to the school dance, has a brain aneurysim.  He is being traumahawked to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami.  I don't know whether he has had a brain bleed or not but I think that he has had the brain bleed.  My son does not have much information.  However, my son's friend was alert this morning and texting my son, so hopefully he will be fine. I can't shake the feeling of dread.  This is so random and unexpected.  My appointment is in Houston, TX at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center so I will not be home for my son. I am upset about not being able to be there for my son.

I also found out today that my boyfriend's cat has renal failure and that he is going to die.  At least my bf will be able to drive me to the airport at 4:00am and pick me up next week regardless of how his cat is doing.   I am sad about Harley.  Harley is a cool cat.

My daughter is coming home from college today so I am going to spend the evening with my daughter, my mother, my daughter's best friend and her mother.  That is good news.

I haven't packed yet and I have to leave in 1/2 hour for my daughter's friend's house.  Nothing like waiting until the last minute!

I am sure that I will hear good news on Tuesday regarding my test results from Monday.  Thanks for all of the prayers.

    Fabulous momand2kids!

I go in a few weeks for a mammo and ultra sound. My first since the completion of my treatment. They actually moved it up from January as I have developed what they think is axillary web syndrome, but they want to check things out. So I am very, very nervous!

614, you have a lot going on, for sure. I hope your son's friend does well. Just not fair when young people are sick. Take it easy.

Thank God that my son's friend is ok. He is in the hospital being treated and although it is extremely serious, it is not as bad as I  thought.

My bf's cat died today. :(

I had all of my tests today. It was a very long day because I had a mammogram, sonogram, MRI, a chest x-ray, and a breast biopsy. I am so relieved that they were able to do the biopsy today. That is peace of mind for me.

I'm sure that the suspicious area is related to my surgery and radiation so I am not worried. I will find out the results next week.

I see my RO tomorrow so that is a relief too.

    Thanks for everything.
