I was just diagnosed with triple negative. I have 20% estrogen receptor cells 0 progesterone and 0 HER2 My cancer is in right breast but am having a bilateral mastectomies on the 12 th. Also have positive nodes so am having a complete node resection. I have 15 year old saline implants which they are leaving in place. I will need chemo and radiation therapy. Got a long road ahead of me. Pretty freaked out. So frightened of the surgery

I have Triple Negative Breast cancer. scheduled for bilateral mastectomy and lymph node dissection on the right....tomorrow pretty scared and nervous about the whole thing. I have breast implants which they are leaving under the muscle as space savers. I need to go through chemo and radiation as well. Has anyone else gone through this? really need some help and support...

    Cathy

I'm sending lots of prayers and love for tomorrow's surgery. I'm sorry you are here but please know there is hope. I have not gone through your exact experience. We are here for you. Ask away. I'm sure others will pop in.

Everything is going to be ok. Kick cancer to the curb.

    Hugs.

Cathy, we just wanted to let you know we're thinking of you today, while you're having your surgery!

We also wanted to point out that you may want to join the November 2015 Surgery thread, where you can meet others going through surgeries this month and recovering together. Also, when you're ready, there are also monthly Chemo threads to correspond with your treatment, as well as a seasonal Radiation thread.

We hope this helps. Please check back in and let us know how you're doing!

I'm triple negative and have been treating bone mets since 2011. Overall, I'm doing fine, have no pain, and few if any side effects. We'll talk when you're back from surgery.
