YKYABCP when all the characters in your dream are doctors!!!
-
I finally get a handle on the insomnia only to dream about them SOBs! Yikes!!!
YKYABCP when you can't pick out the blouse you're going to wear today until you've picked out your bra and/or "condiments".
-
YKYABCP when when one of your foobs is somehow itching like crazy and scratching has no effect because you can't feel it.
-
Juliecc that's a great one....
-
Julie that's exactly the same for me without recon. Guess my chest is missing all those nerves the surgeon made off with....
-
Or you can't tell exactly WHERE the itch is. So scratch the whole scar.
-
How true, how true on the itch
-
I sympathise! If only I could make my non-existant right nipple stop itching! my husband offered to go to the lab and scratch it for me, but I don't think they kept it.
-
Sue that's hilarious. I tell people the worst thing about having your breasts amputated is the phantom itch. I suppose it's the same as any amputation.
-
-
I did find hydrocortisone cream helps!
-
Ramona...where are you at in Colorado? I'm in Denver
-
Karen, I'm up in Greeley.
-
I have that itch as well, and no matter where I scratch, it doesn't help....
-
I agree with all of you about the weird phantom itch. I've tried to explain it to a couple of non-BC friends, and they don't really get it.
-
I found a sunburn gel at Walmarthas aloe and lidocaine in it. I just smear it all over the area. Numbs the itch.
-
I was incredibly itchy for months after my breast reconstruction, which I guess was nerves on the outermost rim of the skin firing off. I found myself scratching at the most inappropriate times and places as it drove me crazy and I couldn't stop myself. It still happens sometimes but not nearly as often thank goodness
-
I didn't start getting an itch until about 2 1/2 years after my BMX (left side was the cancer side, right side prophylactic) and it's only happens on the left side scratching and anti-itch creams don't help. I have to take a Benedryl.
-
ykyabcpw...you try on bags of frozen peas in the frozen food section just to make sure they're big enough😄
-
You ask your husband " does this shirt make my arm look fat? " The pharmacy knows you and greets you by first name AND your name is on the bottle of tamoxifen on the shelf 😜
-
Lol trying on peas Catfur!!
Know the fat arm syndrome only too well
-
ykyabcpw: Your partner helps you wrap your LE arm before bed, and you both consider it part of foreplay.
-
amygil that's a good one.
-
Oh amy, too funny
-
Ykyacpw: Your weekly chemo appointment counts as date time with your hubby and you both miss it when chemo is done. (Really -- conversation, nice music, picnic lunch...)
-
Shetland - You and your hubby really need to get out more often !
(believe me I am guilty of not taking my own advice on this subject)
-
Shetland: My hubby and I did the same thing only the first movie we watched was Nacho Libre. We got some interesting looks in the chemo sweet.
-
Feelingfeline and fujiimama! 😄

You know you're a cancer patient when....you are asked "what do you want for Christmas?" and the only thing you can think of is another Christmas.
I hope everyone here at BCO gets THAT present. Happy Holidays!
-
AMEN!
