Had Mammogram & called back in -- need more in-depth look?

Im assuming this means I'm headed to ultrasound. Have no diagnosis but breast CA does run in my family. Not panicking - keeping a level head about the importance of early screening/diagnosis & establishing a baseline for future health maintenance. Hoping for a negative result. And virtual hugs.

I talked with the radiology team today and they say I'll be having a diagnostic mammogram with the physician present. Still don't really know what to expect.

Recalls are very common, especially if this is your first and there are no old films for comparison purposes. It can be something as small as a fold of skin under the plate that will "compress out" on a different view.

Did they also say they would reserve time to do an ultrasound after the diagnostic if it was needed?

They did not however, they did say it would take longer & be more in depth. Hopefully they will fill me in before we start the diagnostic mammogram. I hope I leave with certainty of what the next step will be
