I will be out on my chilly, rainy windy front porch handing out candy to upwards of 1000 kids, dressed as the one thing that most strikes fear into the hearts of every Chicagoan: the Polar Vortex! (At least that’s what I’ll answer when asked about my fisherman sweater, scarf, toque, parka, UGGs & gloves).

Tonight I will be watching some scary movies. All the kids in the neighborhood are dressed up in great costumes. I miss watching the Charlie Brown halloween special.

Since I just finished chemo yesterday, I used the little energy I have today to pay tribute to the evil Emperor Ming the Merciless as played by Max Von Sydow in the 1980 film "Flash Gordon."

Oh my goodness!!! GREAT costumes, ksusan and cheesequake!!!
Chi -- 1000 kids?! Really! Wow, that's a lot! How much candy did you get and what kinds?? Love the vortex idea
Rush -- I think Great Pumpkin was on last evening -- at least on US east coast
And scary movies are a definite for Halloween! What's your favorite?
ENJOY all, and we'd love to see some more pics!

Happy Halloween!
Looking forward to a couple of liberated mini Coffee Crisp with my book tonight. They will never know ... Right?

Cheesequake--exquisite!

Watching the original Night of the Living Dead and handing out candy to trick-or-treaters!

Watched the dog costume contest in the park. There were over 150 dogs, including several Donald Trumps as well as various lions and pizza rats. Also a player piano, a tumble weed (with its humans dressed as saguaro cacti), a lobster in a cooking pot, a vacuum cleaner (the human dressed as a housewife), and an entire Flintstone family of humans and dogs. Very entertaining. Handed out candy for a while and walked the streets with DH and DS. Fun times....

Did you see the little fluffy white dog dressed up as Pope Frances, in the pup mobile?

We are LOVING all your posts -- keep them up!
ENJOY!
