I'm with Waterstreet - hoping you're okay, Smurfette! You're sort of the pioneer for us, and you've been so kind to me. All my hopes are that you are simply resting and getting well. Much love.

Hi there Waterstreet and Frill. Thank you both for thinking of me. I've had a busy week with appointments so have had lots of hours in the car. Bit sore and swollen from all the travel but otherwise I'm doing well. Had my post op check with the surgeon on Thursday and he is very happy. Wound is "clean" and healing well and I have a good range of movement. I saw the Oncologist on Monday and I start chemo on the 10th of November. Having 4 treatments of Taxotere/Cytoxan. My 3rd treatment will fall on Dec 23rd. So close to Christmas. I have an appointment with the Radiation Oncologist on the afternoon of my first chemo so will know more about rads then. Hope you are both ok and you are over your surgery hiccups Waterstreet? Happy to help out Frill. I did private message you. Did you get it? Hope everyone has a restful and restorative weekend. Much love. Donna. xx

Smurfette26… Glad to hear things are well with you. Yes, I am getting over the rough spots.

Was sleeping so good and the thunderstorms woke up my dog and we are up now waiting for the storm to subside. Now were watching a Christmas movie on Hallmark channel. Our fist this year. My roof is leaking and the ceiling in the living room is beginning to concave, the roofer was supposed to have fixed it two weeks ago. I am renting so all I can do is keep calling the realty office. I paid the rent yesterday and took pictures to them to show the damage. My DIL's house flooded yesterday. Poor girl was mopping up water all day yesterday and again this morning if she is up. The storms are supposed to end later today.

I have my post op Tuesday and meet with the Radiologist Oncologist Tuesday also. So I am back to waiting tosee what happens next. Those pins and needles.

Please keep me up on how you are doing. Take care, your in my prayers. Be safe and well.

Hi Frill, you right about being here for Smurfette26. She was there for me through my surgery last Friday. She is a pioneer for us and I as you, wish the best for her.

I know we will talk again soon, be safe and be well. I will add you to my prayer list.

Waterstreet. Just so you know Step can cause nausea without a sore throat! I just went through this. My grandson also had strep. I was nauseous for a week without a sore throat. Had a throat culture and it was positive! Hope this helps....

    Hi Waterstreet,

Sorry to hear your roof is leaking. Hope the real estate agent gets it fixed soon. That's a stress you don't need.

Rain is forecast for us this week and although we need it; wheat harvest is in full swing around the district.

We are a month out from the start of summer and the cracks in our lawn are wide already. Summer will be long, dry and hot I think.

Suppose I should potter about and get a few chores done.

Hope you are having a good weekend. Hugs Donna.

Huge hugs from the other side of the globe!

    Donna,

I am sorry you have to go through chemo. I suggest going to the chemo boards and joining a support group. I was in March 2015. I couldn't imagine going through chemo without my wonderful group. I knew just about everything to expect and when to expect it. I knew within days when I would lose my hair and when it would start to come back. If I had a SE, I could count on someone in there to know how to treat it. They were way better than my MO. Best of luck to you. I had ILC, too.

Thanks for the suggestion Trvler. I have now joined a November chemo group.

The support will be invaluable I'm sure. Donna.

Smurfette26 The roofer still has not showed. We have another storm system moving in tomorrow night. I guess they are going to wait till the ceiling falls.

I went for my post op today got good news and bad. Wasn't much of a visit since my BS didn't come so I had to put my list of questions back in my purse and talk to the RO about starting hormone therapy in January. They requested an appointment with the RO for the Brachytherapy for the internal radiation therapy. I have to wait till they call me to see if I can still go that route. They did remove all of the invasive cancer but found anothe small mass of DCIS it was removed also. The RO said it was almost cancer and that it was in a milk duct. They only took one Lymph node that they found had been involved. I am really upset that we are back to playing another waiting game.

Hope you are doing much better, I still hurt, the cold air and dampness drives me up the wall. I was told I'm healing well but it will take time. Give yourself time to heal before you go doing to much. Take care, Im still keeping all in my prayers.

Nice to catch up with you Waterstreet. We had storms here last night and into this morning. Had so much rain.

I volunteer for a local charity. Have missed a few weeks lately and likely to miss a few more so I braved the rain and went into town this morning to do my volunteering. Was good to see everyone there. I met a friend afterwards and had a nice lunch. Another girlfriend called this afternoon with a lunch invite for tomorrow too. Looking forward to it.

I'm just starting to get back into the swing of things but next weeks chemo will probably take the wind out of my sails.

We are heading into summer here in Australia and where I live is very hot. The heat seems to make my swelling worse.

Sorry to hear that you are waiting again. It's an anxious time. Be kind to yourself.

    Hugs Donna.

Smurfette, so happy to see you! :) I'm glad you're able to get out, even if it's just a little. Go out when you feel like it, rest when you feel like it. Maybe our lesson here is to slow down and listen to what we need rather than pushing so hard all the time. I know Miss-100-hour-weeks could use a little of that, lol!

If you're headed into summer and chemo, it's probably the best time, you'll be nice and cool. Although if you'd like a nice lightweight cap knit for you, I'm about to have some free time on my hands!!!!

    Huge hugs for you, Smurfette.

Donna, wish I could come to Australia to get away from the cold. I can't take the cold anymore. The cold and dampness makes my incisions hurt. Glad you are getting around and doing things. Just take it slow and heal.

The chemo will probably take the wind out of your sales, but you will be okay. You are still in my prayers. You be good to yourself. Stay in touch.

Its raining here again and cool. I already hurt. Praying I get that phone call today to get on with radiation. They took Chemo off of my list, that concerns me some but I am not the doctor. Good day for now, take care. Hugs to you.

Frill, that is a neat idea but no one can fill in for us while we're gone.
