Can someone tell me what this means??
I was able to access my ultrasound results online today. I have no idea what any of this means and could sure use some help from you more experienced ladies. Here is what it said:
There is a 1.1 cm x 1 cm x 0.9 cm irregular mass in the right breast at 11 o'clock
anterior depth 9 cm from the nipple. This irregular mass is hypoechoic. Color flow
imaging demonstrates that there is an adjacent vascularity.
IMPRESSION: SUSPICIOUS OF MALIGNANCY - FOLLOW-UP RECOMMENDED
The 1.1 cm x 1 cm x 0.9 cm irregular mass in the right breast at 11 o'clock anterior
depth is at an intermediate suspicion for malignancy. An ultrasound guided biopsy is
recommended.

It means the radiologist sees something and you should get it biopsied to find out if it is something that is benign or needs treatment, you won't know until you do.

Notdoneyet....yes, I know that the radiologist saw something and that it needs to be biopsied. I have a biopsy scheduled for Monday. I've been waiting since last Friday for my biopsy appointment.
My ultrasound report was just this morning updated on the patient portal for the hospital that I used, which is why I was able to read it.
I was confused as to what it meant because I'm not up on all the medical terminology and had hoped that maybe some of the ladies with more experience than I could shed some light on it for me and explain it in lay man's terms.
I thank you for your flippant answer. I'm already a nervous wreck, just looking for a little info so I can feel more prepared, your response was not helpful.
kayb....Thank you for taking the time to try to explain the report to me. I was wondering what adjacent vascularity meant and I appreciate you clearing that up for me. Your knowledge really helped me understand what the report was saying. Thank you again, so much! -
Not meant to be flippant, just a really simple explanation of what it says, since you stated "I have no idea what any of this means."

My ultrasound was Birad 5 and I am waiting on a biopsy. The pain in my left breast and underarm on that side is what prompted me to get a mamagram. It kind of feels like bolts of pain and a dull pain that doesnt go away. Is there any danger in applying a warm compress?
I need to say that this message board is such a wonderful thing. I have not told a soul yet, and I have read posts on here from you amazing, strong , funny and wonderful women. Please know that I will hold you all in my thoughts. Just so grateful.
