Wednesday Weigh In

I am also up 2. Back from vacation having eaten more with less structured exercise. Should improve now and I'm motivated.
Glad to hear of the losers - appreciate the motivation!
-
Up one pound, darn it!
-
Up half a kilo. Am happy it's not more after all the desserts. Last night was mi-cuit au chocolat with blood orange sorbet. Yummm.
-
Yum!!!
-
Absolutely true!
-
I have lost 1 stone since my BC surgery three months ago. Only 3 more stones to go and I will be able to consider reconstructive surgery that I would like. I am so hoping this forum will help me. Thank you NatsFan for starting this. ☺
-
Nessy, Good for you! Losing a stone is a great start! You'll get there. Welcome to the group.
-
Welcome Nessy. Yes, this thread is a good motivator.
-
down one pound!
-
up one pound. busy week so limited steady exercise.
-
Down a pound to 132.5. No doubt I will ruin this over the weekend, celebrating my birthday.
-
Happy Birthday Wren. Maybe that's why I gained - celebrating your birthday early
-
I was down one, but went to my Book Club (ie dessert eating group) last night so was back up this morning
-
I am out of town so will wait to weigh on my home scale next Wednesday.
ruthbru, I love that you refer to your book club as a dessert eating group. That's my kind of book club (but I do actually love to read)!
-
Keep up with the downs, girls! Was down too for all of 100 grams but still down.
-
Down .5 lb.
-
Call me frustrated. I was down to 164.5 yesterday morning and up to 166.5 this morning. And that's with no cheating on the low carb diet I've been following for 2 1/2 weeks. I guess fluid retention is a player here.
I was excited to see 164 on the scale! So I'm not giving up.
Hoping others have better reports.
-
Not good here either, been bouncing around the same pound or two also. My eating hasn't been the greatest though. I'd like to get a few off before Thanksgiving so at least I'd have something to work with!!!!
-
I'm about the same here as well. My eating was a little better with mysunshine48 here and I also do better when my sister is here and she's now back permanently so hopefully will start to see better results. Would like to drop at least another 10-15 lbs. We'll see.
-
Down .5 to 132. Birthday was solved by going to a bakery that makes awesome cakes and sells them by the slice. The amount of sugar was overwhelming, but it was just one slice.
-
Good idea, Wren.
Hope we all have better reports next Wed.
-
Down 1 more pound. This brings me back to where I was before my vacation binge in September. Progress, sort of. To a better week for us all!
-
Stayed the same this week. Very disappointed and will have to add some speed foods (slimming world) this week. Well done to all who have lost. 👍
-
Hi ladies. I have not been here in forever but I have been trying to lose my 4th of July weight gain since well, 5th of July. I keep going up and down so maybe some peer pressure will help although I may need daily pressure not weekly! This week I did pretty well and lost 1.5 lbs eating salad for lunch every day and chicken and veggies or sushi for dinner. Tonight I went out to eat so hopefully I didn't gain back 1.5 lbs. I only ate 1/3 of my meal but I did eat some tortilla chips 🙈so hard to know how much damage I did.
Happy bday Wren. You are my weight twin almost. I weighed 132.5 Wednesday.
What are speed foods Nessy?
-
Lab shows cholesterol still elevated so told PCP before he puts me on statins I will get back to eating better so that should (hopefully) get me back on track to lose the remaining 10-15 that I want to take off.
-
speed foods are very low calorie. One third of each meal should be speed food. Most fruit (not banana, blueberries or grapes), most vegies (not potatoes, parsnips or swetcorn). All foods cooked with no added fat. Follow that and you should lose weight. What a hoot, I managed one day and lost a pound then went for a Chinese the following day and it went straight back on again. I really must try harder but I love my food!!
-
That makes sense. PS Chinese is salty so I always weigh more after chinese. Just don't weight yourself for a day!
I managed to keep off my weight loss though I ate out! Yeah! Back on track for a day and a half at least.
Patoo, on another thread someone posted a study that an apple a day works as well as statins. Too bad I don't really like apples. My cholesterol is slightly elevated at 207 on anastrazole but this year my HDL went up through my excessive exercising I believe.
-
thanks TwoH, I do want to up my exercise so need to get my sister settled and into her own routine and then can get back to my own. I do like apples so will add that into a daily plan.
-
I think I've joined this group before and then got sidetracked getting my house ready to sell and then move to another state. I have a new psychiatrist in NC whom I'm seeing about once a month. He weighs all his patients before the session begins.
It's a new kind of motivation.
I got down to almost my first target weight, 160, during the year post-treatment, and now I am up to 180 about 3 years post-treatment. I'd love to be 150 or so. So I'd like to join again.
Like many, my biggest challenge is sweets and other high cal comfort foods. I'm keeping much less of these in the house so I'm hoping to begin losing weight again.

Good luck, Peggy.
