Hi. I was diagnosed last month with DCIS stage 0. I just turned 52 and was diagnosed a few days before my birthday. A routine mammogram found it. I am having a Lumpectomy next month. I'm participating in a study to see if radiation is needed after surgery. I has an MRI and nothing else was found.


The tumor is 80% positive ER and 30% PR and high grade. I had a hysterectomy 7 years ago and am now off estrogen. I would like to know if anyone has had any luck with hormone alternatives.

    Sorry you are here. You diagnosis is similar to mine except once I had my lumpectomy my DCIS was much bigger than expected.

    I too was on estrogen after a hysterectomy/BSO for two years. I'm off that now too. I am trying to do tamoxifen but no go for me. My DR will be rx me an AI to try.
